Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: April 15-20

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Natalie Alexander (Glenwood Track & Field) Glenwood hosted the Lady Titan Invite on Friday night and picked up the team victory with 127 points. Alexander was a part of three first place finishes. Two individual wins came in the 200 meter (26.06) and 300 hurdles (48.37). She also was a part of the winning 4×100 relay with a time of 50.11 seconds and picked up a second place finish in the 100 hurdles (16.36 seconds). Highlight from the Titan’s Invite victory HERE.

Ava Bobb (Glenwood Softball) The Glenwood Titans took on Pekin and Plainfield North on Saturday as Bobb had a big day at the play. In the two wins, Bobb went 5-for-6 with five runs scored and 10 runs batted in. She hits three homers; a solo homer, 2-run home run and 3-run homer.

Raelyn Brammer (Pleasant Plains Girls Soccer) The Cardinals continue to have success this season as they sit at 16-1 with four wins last week. Brammer is an essential part of the offense for Pleasant Plains often helping set things up as she leads the team in assists. Highlights of Pleasant Plains’ win over Springfield High HERE.

Deandre Brown (Springfield High Track & Field) A big day for the sophomore at the Lanphier Invite on Saturday. In the fresh/soph 400 meter he picked up the win with a time of 49.68 seconds. That time was good enough to be the best 400 time of the day regardless of level. He also broke a school sophomore record and moved to 5th fastest all time for Springfield.

Joe Catalano (Williamsville Baseball) The Bullets remain the lone unbeaten team in the Sangamo standings at 4-0. They picked up a 2-1 win on Thursday over Maroa Forsyth. Catalano was on the mound for Williamsville and picked up the win with five innings pitched, allowing two hits, no runs and striking out seven. Danika Frazier (Olympia Softball) A two game day for the Spartans on Saturday as Olympia played Mt Zion and Marion. Frazier pitched six innings against Mt Zion where she allowed one hit and struck out eight. She also went 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring two runs and driving in four. Those two hits came on two home runs. She also hit a homer against Marion where she went 2-for-4 at the plate with four more RBIs.

Seth Impson (Springfield High Baseball) The Senators picked up a quality Central State Eight conference victory on Wednesday. Impson pitched seven shutout innings in a 2-0 win over Sacred Heart Griffin. He allowed four hits, one walk and struck out seven. Impson also collected a hit in the victory. Brady Larson (Maroa Forsyth Track & Field) Larson broke a long standing record last week as the Trojans competed at the Macon Piatt County Meet. The 110 hurdles meet record of 14.80 seconds stood for 47 years and Larson is now the record holder with a time of 14.73 seconds. With that time he also broke the school record.

Izzy Nowack (Williamsville Softball) Williamsville played in the Washington Panther Classic this weekend as Nowack had a great weekend at the plate. She hit .800 in 12 plate appearances, scoring five runs and driving in 15. Against Geneseo, Nowack went 3-for-3 with seven RBIs and a grand slam. That grand slam was one of two homers in the four game stretch.

Taylor Patterson (Auburn Softball) The Trojans picked up a win over Greenfield Northwestern on Saturday and in the victory it was Patterson leading the way at the plate. Patterson went 5-for-6 with five RBIs in the win. Those five hits included a home run and she scored two runs in the victory.

Olivia Redpath (Sacred Heart Griffin Track & Field) SHG tied for second at the Lady Titan Invite with a score of 102 on Friday night. Redpath competed in three events that night. She picked up a win in the 100 meter (12.63), was a part of the winning 4×200 relay (1:48.15) and help the 4×100 relay team to a third place finish (51.00). Highlights of the Lady Titan Invite HERE.

Belle Shoufler (Williamsville Track & Field) Williamsville won a share of the Rockets Invite title on Friday as they scored 100 points and tied with North Mac. Shoufler was a part of four events, all of which were top three finishes for the Bullets. She won the 400 meter (1:01.84) and picked up second place finishes in the 100 meter (13.15) and 200 meter (27.14). Shoufler was also a part of the 4×100 relay team that finished third with a time of 51.83 seconds.

Danny Skelton (Pleasant Plains Track & Field) Pleasant Plains competed at the Rocket Invite on Friday night as the Cardinals picked up the team win. Skelton had a busy night with three wins. One was an individual win in the 110 meter hurdles (15.25 seconds). The other two wins were as a part of the 4×100 relay (44.39) and the 4×200 relay (1:48.15).

Kaelyn Swift (North Mac Track & Field) The Panthers won a share of the Rocket Invite title on Friday night as they tied with Williamsville. Swift helped lead the way with two individual and two relays wins that night. She won the 100 meter (12.83) and 200 meter (26.76). The relay wins came in the 4×100 (49.99) and the 4×200 (1:48.49).

Alek Terlecki (Glenwood Baseball) Glenwood hosted Sacred Heart Griffin in a Saturday non-conference matchup. It was Terlecki who picked up the three run walk off double in the bottom of the ninth to secure the victory. That hit came in his only plate appearance of the day.
