Springfield, IL – Neuhoff Media and Channel1450.com are pleased to announce the third annual Channel1450 Awards on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the LRS Hanger.
The Channel1450 Awards will be a night to celebrate the achievements of local high school athletes during the 2023-2024 school year.
“We are excited for another year of the Channel1450 Awards and the opportunity to celebrate these student athletes while continuing our commitment to local high school sports coverage,” said Kevin O’Dea, General Manager of Neuhoff Media Springfield. “We are excited to shine the spotlight on their achievements as we continue our efforts in providing ‘media made locally’ throughout the area.”
The staff at Channel1450.com will choose five finalists from several sports throughout the Central State Eight and other area conferences, with one winner coming from each category. Nominees will be announced soon on the Channel1450.com website and social media pages. Winners will be announced at the event for each category. Winners will also be announced for Coach of the Year, Scholar Athlete of the Year, Team of the Year and the UCB Cup.
Tickets to the event are $30 per person or $220 per table of eight, includes dinner provided by Poe’s Catering. Nominees will receive a free ticket and t-shirt, information on how to claim both will be sent to their school’s athletic office via email. Tickets go on sale April 29th, 2024.
