Springfield High defeated Sacred Heart-Griffin 2-0 on Wednesday. The Senators were led by Seth Impson’s shutout pitching performance. Impson struck out seven Cyclones and threw 92 pitches. Gage Luttrell threw all six innings for the Cyclones and surrendered just a single earned run in the first inning. Carter Kruse picked up the game’s lone RBI. Both teams are back in action on Saturday, Springfield at East Peoria and the Cyclones in Chatham.
