Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: May 16-21

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Livia Binder (Maroa Forsyth Girls Track and Field) Maroa Forsyth has their first state champion in track and field! Binder picked up a win in 1A pole vault on Saturday at Eastern at 3.55m. She was also a part of the second place 4×100 and sixth place 4×200 Trojan teams. Check out the highlights of girls state track and field HERE.

Maddie Roberts (Williamsville Softball) The Bullets are regional champs after beating future Sangamo conference members Olympia on Friday night. Williamsville was led at the plate by Roberts who had three hits and three RBIs in the 10-1 victory.

Katelyn Lehnen (Glenwood Girls Track and Field) The freshman brought home one state championship and two top three finishes at her first IHSA state track meet. She picked up third place finishes in the 400m (56.43) and the 100m (12.23) then in her final race of the day she took first in the 200m with a time of 24.75 seconds. See her races HERE.

Maggie Gleckler (Rochester Girls Soccer) The Rockets trailed 1-0 at halftime of the regional championship game on Friday but picked up the 2-1 win with two second half goals from Gleckler. The game winning goal came with 16:32 left in the game. See the highlights HERE.

Becca Heitzig (Lincoln Girls Track and Field) Not only did Heitzig win a state championship in the 800m on Saturday, she also set a new 2A state record. She won that race with a time of 2:09.99. Check it out HERE.

Sydnee Scott (U-High Girls Girls Track and Field) The Pioneers have a 2A state champ in pole vault as Scott picked up the win on Saturday. She took first at 3.55 meters and added points to the team total as they finished second in 2A. Check out the win HERE.

Daleny Chumbley (Tri-City Softball) A big win for TCSVMP on Friday night over SHG for a 2A regional championship. The Tornadoes scored four runs in the first to propel them to a 5-1 victory. In the circle Chumbley held off the Cyclones allowing just two hits and no earned runs while striking out seven. Check out the highlights of the win HERE.

Anna Barr (U-High Girls Track and Field) U-High finished second in the 2A state track meet at Eastern on Saturday and Barr picked up 10 points for the Pioneers with her performances that day. She finished eighth in the 100m (12.82), fifth in the 100m hurdles (15.22) and seventh in the 300m hurdles (46.37). See how she did it HERE.

Abby Wolters (Pleasant Plains Girls Track and Field) The only freshman in the 1A 800m state championship race this weekend brought home a 7th place finish as the Cardinals only medalist. Not only did she do that, she also set the 800m school record twice during the state weekend. The first was Thursday in prelims then she beat that record in the finals with a time of 2:20.33.

Valerie Foulke (Maroa Forsyth Softball) The Trojans came up with a big win over U-High on Friday for a 2A regional championship. Tied at one in the bottom of the 6th with two outs, Foulke hit a solo homer to give Maroa Forsyth the 2-1 lead which would eventually be the final. Jackson Kern (Auburn Boys Track and Field) The Auburn boys are state bound with a 1A sectional championship at North Mac on Wednesday. In the 300m hurdle race Kern fell early in the race and not only got up to finish but he finished first with a time of 41.19 seconds. He also finished first in the 110m hurdles (15.20) and was a part of the second place 4×400 team.

Rylann Law (Glenwood Girls Soccer) The Titans picked up a 2A regional championship with a win over Mt Zion at Illinois College on Saturday. Law scored two goals in the 6-0 victory. Glenwood now heads home as they host the sectional and take on Champaign Central on Tuesday in the sectional semifinal. See the regional championship highlights HERE.

Nathan Cain (Pleasant Plains Boys Track and Field) Pleasant Plains has two sectional track title this season after the girls won one a few weeks ago before the  boys won the 1A Maroa Forsyth sectional on Wednesday. Cain had two individual firsts at the meet as he swept the hurdle races. He won the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.55 seconds and the 300m hurdles in 41.76 seconds. He was also a part of the winning 4×100 team (43.45).
