Springfield, IL – Woodward Community Media Springfield and Channel1450.com are pleased to announce the fifth annual Channel1450 Awards on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the LRS Hangar.
The Channel1450 Awards will be a night to celebrate the achievements of local high school athletes during the 2025-2026 school year.
The staff at Channel1450.com will choose five finalists from several sports throughout the Central State Eight and other area conferences, with one winner coming from each category. Nominees will be announced soon on the Channel1450.com website and social media pages. Winners will be announced at the event for each category. Winners will also be announced for Coach of the Year, Scholar Athlete of the Year, Team of the Year and the UCB Cup.
Tickets to the event are $30 per person or $225 per table of eight, includes dinner provided by Poe’s Catering. Information on how nominees can claim a free ticket will be sent to their school’s athletic office via email. Tickets go on sale April 27th, 2026.
