Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: March 21-26

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Gigi Yurevich (Glenwood Girls Soccer) The Titans picked up a couple wins last week including a Central State Eight victory against Springfield High on Monday. Yurevich continues with great play in the goal getting the shutout in the 6-0 win. Highlights of the Glenwood win HERE.

Jack Swaney (Springfield High Baseball) The Senators for their CS8 season started a couple days later then anticipated with a double header against Springfield on Friday. Swaney finished the day with three hits and five RBIs with two home runs. Highlights of the first game HERE and second game HERE.

Ella Wilcockson (Pleasant Plains Girls Soccer) The Cardinals were a part of the Kickoff Classic in Carlinville last week. On Thursday they took on Gillespie in the opening round and picked up a 7-0 victory. Wilcockson finished with a hat trick to lead the team in scoring. Check out the goal HERE.

Jacob Blunck (Maroa Forsyth Baseball) The Trojans got some baseball in at Millikin on Saturday against Routt. The game was tied 3-3 mid seventh and Blunck came up with a double to score Jaxson Grubbs for the walk-off. Blunck finished with two hits and two RBIs in the win. See the game winner HERE.

Daleny Chumbley (Tri-City/Sangamon Valley/Mt Pulaski Softball) The Tornadoes added another win to their season on Saturday with a victory over Springfield High. In the four inning game Chumbley threw a no-hitter while striking out nine. She had two hits and an RBI in the win.

Kayla Gillespie (North Mac Softball) The Panthers picked up an 11-1 win over Hillsboro last Monday and Gillespie had the top performance of that game. She threw a no-hitter in the five inning victory with nine strikeouts and no earned runs.

Colleen Zeibert (Rochester Track and Field) At the Illinois Top Times Indoor Championships on Friday Zeibert picked up a first place finish in the 2A 800 meter race. She finished with a time of 2:16.58 which was a personal best.

Garrett Slack (Lincoln Track and Field) Another 800 meter winner from the Illinois Top Times Indoor Championships on Friday. Slack won with a time of 1:59.12 in the 2A race which was new PR.

Katelyn Lehnen (Glenwood Track and Field) Over in the 3A 60 meter race at the Illinois Top Times Indoor Championships Lehnen picked up a win. She also set a new personal record with a time of 7.62 seconds.

Livia Binder (Maroa Forsyth Track and Field) The junior brought home a first place finish for the Trojans in 1A pole vault. A new personal record gave her the win at 3.66 meters. She was also a part of the 4×200 team that took first in the 1A race and finished with a time of 1:50.07.

Becca Heitzig (Lincoln Track and Field) Another name that is familiar to this list. The sophomore took first place and set a new PR in the 2A 3200 meter race at the Illinois Top Times Indoor Championships on Friday. Her time was 10:45.78.

Landen Patton (Tri City/Sangamon Valley Baseball) The Tornadoes picked up a win last Monday against Meridian. TCSV won the game 2-0 but it was the pitcher, Patton, who controlled the game on the mound. He finished with 17 strikeouts in the complete game shutout. He also had an RBI in the win.
