Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: November 22-27

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Mitchell Logan (Springfield High Boys Basketball) The Senators are 4-0 after a tournament championship in Bethalto last week. The senior was named to the all-tournament team and tournament MVP after averaging 20.5 points per game, 10 rebounds per game, 3.5 steals per game and 4 blocks.

Madixx Morris (Sacred Heart Griffin Football) He’s back for two weeks in a row! SHG traveled to DeKalb for the 4A state championship on Friday night. Morris was a go to again this week with five catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the second place finish. Late in the first half Ty Lott found Morris three times in a row to take the Cyclones down the field for a touchdown.

Christina Rice (MacArthur Girls Basketball) The Generals are off to a good start to the season as they went 3-1 and finished second at the Rock Island tournament last week. The junior was named to the all-tournament team while averaging 21 points per game with 9 rebound per game.

Tye Banks (Lanphier Boys Basketball) Banks is back on the court for the Lions as they finished third in the Tournament of Champions in Washington last week. In the Lanphier victory over Yorkville Banks had 30 points and 15 rebounds. He was named to the all-tournament team with an average of 17.3 points per game with 8.3 rebounds per game.

Drew Davis (Glenwood Wrestling) The Titans finished sixth as a team at the Conant Invite this weekend. Davis was one of two Glenwood wrestlers that finished first as he won the 113 pound bracket. Special shoutout to Ben Maduena who was the other first place finisher at 132 pounds.

Payton Cook (Lincoln Boys Basketball) Another all-tournament team selection on the list. The Railers won the Lincoln Tournament on Saturday and Cook was a big contributor all week. He had 18 points in the championship game and in the Railers opening game.

Brylan Phillips (MacArthur Boys Basketball) From the football field to the basketball count Phillips finds a way to get it done. He averaged 20.6 points per game in the Decatur Thanksgiving Tournament. In the semifinal against Bolingbrook he had 32 points, with five threes, nine assists and six rebounds.

Eli Baker (Illini Central Boys Basketball) Illini Central finished fourth at the Bill Rucks Tournament in Mt Pulaski last week. Baker average 19.25 points per game with 11 rebounds per game in the Cougars four games.

Ryen Stoltzenburg (Lincoln Girls Basketball) The Lady Railers picked up a tournament championship at the Pana championship. Stoltzenburg joined Kloe Froebe on the all-tournament team so we’ll give Ryan the nod this week.

Kaleah Toran (Springfield High Girls Basketball) Toran had a big week at the Galesburg tournament as the Senators picked up two wins on Saturday. She had 16 points against Peoria Manual and 10 against Champaign Centennial on Saturday. She also had 18 points in a win over Washington.

Eli Curtis (Glenwood Boys Basketball) The Titans went 2-1 at Jacksonville last week with wins over the Crimsons and Riverton. Curtis lead the team with 19 points in the victory over Jacksonville and added 13 points as the fell to tournament champions Edwardsville.
