The Maroa Forsyth Trojans come into the 2018 playoffs with their first ever outright Sangamo title at 9-0 and are a favorite to play on Black Friday in Champaign at the 2A level. Up first in their quest for another state title is the 5-4 Jacksonville Routt Rockets. Led by former New Berlin head coach Barry Creviston, the Rockets are back in the playoffs in their first year resurrecting the program.
