Trojans Comeback Falls Just Short, Plains Wins Regional For 9th Time Under Cameron

Pleasant Plains led by as many as 17 and had a double digit lead in the second half but Auburn stormed back led by Tristan Weaver to make it a one point game with just under three minutes to play. Cole Greer stepped up down the stretch and the Cardinals won the 2A Plains regional 65-55 over the Trojans.

Isaac Collins and Weaver both went 5 for 9 from three on the night, Collins finished with 23 points and Weaver 20, but Austin Finley had 14 points and 12 boards and Greer scored 12 points to push Plains into the 2A Beardstown sectional where they will meet Athens on Wednesday night.
