SHG and QND engaged in the kind of sectional final that will serve as a historical landmark for each program for years to come on Thursday. The Raiders pulled out a three set win with a 25-23 win in the final frame to earn a trip to the 3A Supersectionals. SHG's season came to an end.

The Cyclones were able to eliminate the slow start that had haunted and nearly cost them this post season with a 25-15 first set win. SHG then jumped out to a 13-8 advantage in the second before QND senior standout Riley Hummert helped the Raiders regain control of the match. QND pulled out a 26-24 second set win. Hummert finished with a game high 21 kills.

The Raiders carried that momentum into the third set, jumping out to a 6-1 lead, but SHG fought back to tie the game on multiple occasions. Emma Hopkins, who led SHG with 14 kills, pounded home her final point to tie things at 23, but the Cyclones would never lead again.

SHG's Eilise Cummins posted 11 kills and three blocks in her final game as a Cyclone. Senior Makayla Yoho had a game high 22 digs. Junior Annie Urbance added seven kills and Alli Lanzotti had 19 assists.
