It was a night designed to honor SHG graduate turned Olympic gold medalist Ryan Held, but it didn’t take long for the Cyclones to realize that there was business to be handled on the field as well in Week 2. The Cyclones proved vulnerable to the big play capabilities of MacArthur with regularity in Friday’s first half. General quarterback Amir Brummett threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to his brother Armon.
MacArthur just couldn’t get a stop. Tremayne Lee totaled 207 yards and three scores on 17 carries and Tristan Blair added 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 14 touches and SHG ran away with a 61-21 victory to improve to 2-0.
