Southeast went 0-3 at the 2015 City Tournament and they've thought about it ever since. On Thursday, they opened City 2016 with a dominant 62-48 win over SHG as they work to save the Spartans' good name on the Eastside.

Jordan Stapelton led the Spartans with 15 points on 5-11 shooting with all of his attempts coming from three point range. D'Angelo Hughes had nine points and nine rebounds and Trevyon Williams came off the bench to score 12 points and dish out seven assists. All of Williams' points came in a decisive second quarter in which the Spartans outscored SHG 22-8.

Albert Okwuegbunam led all scorers with 28 points and added 10 rebounds. The Missouri football commit did so in front of Mizzou head coach Barry Odom who visited City Tournament on Thursday.
