Lanphier blew by Springfield High 78-54 in day one of the City Tournament on Thursday. Cardell McGee had arguaby his best game as a Lion, scoring 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Lanphier advances to take on SHG on Friday.
Xavier Bishop scored a game high 21 points, Yaakema Rose added 14 points and 11 boards and William Boles recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.
For Springfield High, Keon Day led the way with 20 points and Isaac Nelson recorded 13 points.
