Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: December 9-14

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Carson Arthalony (PORTA Girls Basketball) With a three pointer in the third quarter against Cuba North Fulton on Thursday Arthalony scored her 1,000th career point. The senior finished the game with 17 points. She also scored 21 in a loss to Pittsfield on Monday that you can see highlights of HERE.

Zach Bryant (PORTA Wrestling) The Bluejays hosted the PORTA Invite over the weekend and picked up the team title with a score of 207 points. Bryant won the 132 pound bracket with a victory over a state qualifier from last season.

Cooper Carter (Auburn Boys Basketball) A big night for the Trojan on Tuesday against North Mac. In the second quarter of a win over the Panthers Carter scored 26 points. He would go on to finish with a game high 31 points which included eight three pointers. He also scored 16 points in a win over Pana on Saturday. Highlights of the win over North Mac HERE.

Tyler Clarke (Glenwood Wrestling) The Titans competed in the Lary Gassen Dual Team Tournament over the weekend. Clarke went 4-1 at the tournament but more importantly he picked up his 100th career victory.

Navehua Collier (Southeast Girls Basketball) The Spartans are out to a 10-0 start this season and are 3-0 in the Central State Eight. Southeast was down eight with five minutes to play against Pleasant Plains on Monday and came back for the 40-37 win. Collier was a big part of that comeback as she helped lead the way. Angelina Ippolito (South Fork Girls Basketball) South Fork started off the Meridian Holiday Tournament with a come back win on Saturday. After being down 12 at half against Warrensburg Latham it was Ippolito who helped lead South Fork to the victory. She scored 26 of her game high 35 points in the second half. Sixteen of those points came in the fourth quarter including nine made free throws.

Cameron Johnson (Normal U-High Boys Basketball) The Pioneers traveled to Rochester on Friday night and took home a 60-58 CS8 win. Johnson almost had a triple double in the victory and scored a game high 24 points. See highlights of the victory HERE.

Coby Lane (Maroa Forsyth Boys Basketball) On Friday Lane didn’t just have a career night, he also broke a school record. In a 79-63 win over Meridian for third place in the Macon County Tournament Lane scored a career high 54 points for the school record.

Joshua Long (Calvary Boys Basketball) The Saints picked up three wins last week to improve their record to 4-2. Long stated off the week with a career high 30 points in a win over Mt Olive on Tuesday. He then added 20 points in a win over Hartsburg Emden on Friday and 17 points in a win against Southeast on Saturday. Highlights of the win over Southeast HERE.

Alyson Murphy (Mt Pulaski Girls Basketball) The Hilltoppers hosted Midwest Central last Monday and picked up the victory. In that win Murphy picked up a career milestone as she passed the one thousand career point mark.
