Miller-Ross captured the GLVC title in the 10K with a winning time of 35:09. Her season-best mark of 35:02 ranks top-25 in NCAA Division II. In the same race, Olivia Thomsen placed 18th in 41:16, followed by Allison Thompson in 19th at 41:57.
UIS also had representation in the 1500m and 800m semifinal rounds, though none advanced to the finals. Josslyn Gaona led the group in the 1500m, finishing 15th in 4:49.
On Saturday, the Prairie Stars competed in the 5,000 meters, where Kaleigh Inniss placed 17th in 18:21 and Mackenzie Billard finished 21st in 18:35.
That wraps up competition for most of the UIS women’s squad, though Miller-Ross remains in strong contention for NCAA Division II qualification. She currently ranks No. 8 nationally in the 5,000 meters and No. 23 in the 10,000 meters, pending championship selections.
