Kane Baskett (Sacred Heart Griffin Hockey) The Cyclones picked up an 11-2 win over the Suburban North Stars on Monday night. Baskett had a big first period as he scored three of SHG’s five goals. Check out the highlights HERE.
Luke Blackford (Calvary Boys Basketball) The Saints senior had a big week with 66 points scored in three games. His two biggest games came on Friday and Saturday with 29 points and 12 rebounds against Edinburg and 30 points in a double overtime loss to Maroa Forsyth on Saturday. Pierce Bultmann (Glenwood Wrestling) The Titans hosted Rochester and Jacksonville on Thursday night and it was a big night for Bultmann. The junior picked up his 100th and 101st career victories that night. See the highlights HERE.
Eli Cox (Rochester Boys Basketball) Rochester came back for a big CS8 win over Sacred Heart Griffin on Friday night. Cox was one of two Rockets who scored 16 points in the win. He scored nine points in the second half with six of those coming in the fourth quarter. Check out highlights of the CS8 battle HERE.
Kendall Howell (MacArthur Boys Basketball) The MacArthur General improved their record to 14-0 last week with three victories including a CS8 win over Glenwood. Howell had 10 points in the 48-29 conference win including eight points in the second half as the Generals built a lead. See highlights of the win HERE.
Owen Kirby (Normal U-High Boys Basketball) The Pioneers made the trip to Jacksonville on Friday night and took home a 54-25 CS8 win. Kirby led the way for U-High in the victory with 18 points. That included five straight three pointers in the third quarter. Those threes and more highlights HERE.
Bailey Leach (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) The Cardinals are now 13-0 this season with three more victories last week. In a win over Lincoln on Wednesday night Leach achieved a career milestone. The senior hit the 1,000 point mark with a free throw in the fourth quarter. She would finish the game with eight points. Highlights from the game and that career milestone HERE.
Caebrin Lee (Maroa Forsyth Boys Basketball) A big week of scoring for the Trojan junior. Lee scored 35 points including two game tying threes to force overtime and double overtime against Calvary on Saturday. He also scored 36 points earlier in the week against Meridian. Abigail Malit (Springfield High Girls Basketball) The Senators picked up a Central State Eight win over Lincoln on Saturday afternoon. In that victory it was Malit who led the way for Springfield High with 16 points. She scored nine points in the third as she helped give the Senators the lead. See highlights of the victory HERE.
Dylan Nowaskie (Olympia Boys Basketball) A couple big performances from Nowaskie last week for the Spartans. In a loss to Midwest Central the senior scored 42 points. He then scored 27 and brought in 11 rebounds in a win over Central A&M at the Taylorville Shootout on Saturday.
