Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: December 8-13

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Logan Baker (PORTA Wrestling) A big day in Petersburg on Saturday as the Bluejays won the Rex Avery Invite. During the tournament Baker achieved a career milestone with his hundredth win. He also was an individual champion in the 165 pound bracket. Check out highlights from the day HERE.

Jacob Barth (Auburn Boys Basketball) The Trojans traveled to Pawnee on Friday night and picked up a 31-30 non-conference victory. It was Barth who was the difference in that game with a game winning basket in the final 30 seconds. He finished the game with 16 points including six in the fourth quarter. See the highlights HERE.

Kai Bruce (Rochester Boys Basketball) The Rockets picked up a three point victory over Lincoln last Tuesday for a 45-42 CS8 win. In that game it was Bruce who led Rochester in scoring with 12 points. He also had a steal in that game and scored 13 in a win over Eisenhower later in the week. Highlights of the win over Lincoln HERE.

Madison Burke (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) The Cardinals are now 7-0 this season and picked up win over Southeast and Taylorville last week. In a home win over the Spartans Burke scored 15 points. On the road in Taylorville on Thursday she scored 13 points. See the highlights from the win over the Tornadoes HERE.

Brody Folkes (Illini Central Boys Basketball) The Cougars picked up two wins last week with victories over Hartsburg Emden and South Fulton. Folkes led the way in both wins with 29 points versus Hartem and another 32 points against South Fulton.

James Jones (Athens Boys Basketball) The Warriors had an exciting start to last week with a 40-39 win over Edinburg. Jones not only was the leading scorer in the game with 24 points he also had the game winning basket along with 18 rebounds and a steal. You can see the game winner and more highlights HERE.

Hunter King (PORTA Wrestling) The Bluejays hosted the Rex Avery Invite over the weekend and picked up the team title. During the event King achieved a milestone moment by earning his 100th win. Check out highlights from Saturday in Petersburg HERE.

Cody Moss (Glenwood Wrestling) The Titans traveled to the Larry Gassen Invite at Downers Grove over the weekend and picked up a team third place finish in the dual tournament. Moss was named to the all tournament team and also won his hundredth career match.

Brody Tungate (Lincoln Boys Basketball) The Railers picked up a low scoring 26-16 conference win over Glenwood on Friday night. In that game it was Tungate leading the way with eight points, three rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal. He also has 14 points in a three point loss to Rochester earlier in the week. Elijah Wade (Springfield High Boys Basketball) The Senators earned two Central State Eight wins last week with an 80-65 win over Jacksonville and a 47-34 win over Normal U-High. Wade was the leading scorer in the victory over the Pioneers with 13 points. He also had 18 points in the win over the Crimsons. Highlights from Jacksonville HERE and the game against U-High HERE.

Terrion Wallace (Sacred Heart Griffin Boys Basketball) The Cyclones are now 4-2 following two victories last week. In a 36-24 win over Glenwood on Tuesday it was Wallace leading the way with 20 points for SHG. Check out the highlights HERE.

Justin Zimmerman (PORTA Wrestling) A individual title and a career milestone is a good way to spend a snowy Saturday. At the Rex Avery Invite in Petersburg Zimmerman picked up his 100th career victory while winning the 175 pound bracket. He also helped lead the Bluejays to the team title. Highlights HERE.
