Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: November 17-22

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Cayden Birmingham (Maroa Forsyth Football) Maroa Forsyth is heading back to Hancock Stadium for the second time in two years. Birmingham stepped into the number one receiver spot for the Trojans in the 28-6 semifinal victory over ALAH on Saturday. In that spot Birmingham lead the team with 11 receptions for 141 yards. Xander Bridge (Sacred Heart Griffin Hockey) The Cyclones took on Glenwood last Monday and picked up a 4-1 victory. In that win it was Bridge helping lead the way for the Cyclones with two goals. He also scored two goals the night before in a win over Pekin. Highlights of the early season rivalry game HERE.

Navehua Collier (Southeast Girls Basketball) Southeast hosted the Williamsville Bullets on Thursday night and it was the Spartans who came out on top with a 55-49 victory. In that win Collier was the top scorer for Southeast with 20 points. You can check out highlights of the win HERE.

Megan Hughes (Illini Central Girls Basketball) Hughes started off the season with a career milestone last week. The senior scored her 1,000th career point in a win over Peoria Christian on Thursday. That achievement came in the second quarter as Hughes went on to score 23 points including five three-pointers.

Troy Pulliam (Maroa Forsyth Football) The Trojans are heading back to a state title game following a 28-6 win over ALAH on Saturday in a 2A semifinal. Pulliam had a big game on the defensive side of the ball with 12 tackles including eight solo tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack. The senior also had a 34 receiving yards and a touchdown on the offensive side of the ball. See the highlights HERE.

Ava Rodriguez-Mansholt (Pawnee Girls Basketball) The Indians started off the season with a road win over Athens on Monday night. In the 45-39 win it was Rodriguez-Mansholt that helped lead the way with 24 points. See the highlights HERE.

Nate Swaney (Rochester Football) The Rockets are heading back to the state finals for the tenth time. In a 43-42 overtime victory against Breese Central Swaney had a big game on the defensive side of the ball. Swaney had seven tackles including three solo and a tackle for loss. He also came up with a big interception in the fourth as the game was tied to stop a Central drive. Highlights from Rochester’s come back win HERE.

Evrim Tabag (Rochester Football) A big game and a couple big moments for the sophomore running back in Rochester’s 43-42 overtime win against Breese Central in a 4A semifinal on Saturday. Tabag rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns. That includes the 10 yard score in overtime and the game winning two point conversion. Check out the highlights of the win HERE.

Anna Weber (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) The Cardinals got the season started with wins over two bigger schools last week. In a 60-41 win over Normal West on Monday Weber scored 19 points including nine free throws. She followed that performance up with 16 points in a win over Edwardsville.
