Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: October 13-18

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Easton Ackerman (Jacksonville Football) The Crimsons kept their playoff hopes alive with a 36-33 win over MacArthur on Friday night. Ackerman was Jacksonville’s leading rushers with 235 yards on 43 carries and three scores. You can see highlights of Jacksonville victory HERE.

Andrew Aldeman (Normal U-High Boys Cross Country) The Pioneers won the boys Central State Eight cross country title on Saturday at Lincoln Park. Aldeman picked up the individual victory helping lead U-High to the win. The sophomore finished in 15:21.4 while the Pioneers won with a team total of 35 points. Devan Barrett (Athens Volleyball) The Athens Warriors won the Sangamo conference volleyball title outright for the first time in school history last week. They finished the conference schedule with a 2-0 win over Auburn for a 9-0 record. In that victory Barrett helped lead the way with ten kills, four digs plus an ace and a block. Ryan Bridal (Glenwood Boys Soccer) Before the postseason gets started this week the Titans traveled to Dunlap to take on the top ranked Eagles last Thursday. Glenwood picked up the 2-0 victory and it was Bridal who scored the first goal of the game just 15 minutes in. Highlights of the Titans win HERE.

Cayden Brown (MacArthur Football) MacArthur fell in a close game with Jacksonville on Friday night but Brown had a big game for the Generals. The junior rushed for 207 yards and three scores in the game. Highlights HERE.

Bullets Offensive Line (Williamsville Football) The Williamsville Bullets traveled to Maora Forsyth on Friday night and picked up a 39-20 win over the Trojans to move to 8-0 this season. Evan Phillips, Liam Dodsworth, Zachary Graber, Mason Manci, and Nathan Crouch make up the Bullets offensive line that helped the team rush for a total of 423 yards and four touchdowns in the game while allowing quarterback Jackson Sanders to pass for 157 yards. Drew Carter (PORTA Football) The Bluejays are heading to the playoffs for the first time since 2013 following a 38-8 victory over Riverton on Friday night. In that win it was Carter who helped lead the way with 82 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Jocelyn Law (Auburn Volleyball) The Auburn senior reached a career milestone last week. In a loss to Riverton, Law tallied 15 assists, 13 digs, three kills and two aces. Those 15 assists helped her reach the 1,000 career assist mark.

Emma Jean Lehnen (Normal U-High Volleyball) The Pioneers are Central State Eight champs following a 2-0 win over Glenwood last Tuesday. Lehnen had 10 digs and three assists in that win. She also recently picked up a career milestone of 1,000 digs. See highlights of U-High’s conference clinching win HERE.

Ali Londrigan (Glenwood Girls Cross Country) The Glenwood Titans won the girls Central State Eight cross country title on Saturday with a team score of 29 points. Londrigan won the race at Lincoln Park with a time on 17:43.8. Check out highlights of the girls conference race HERE.

Willow Milkint (Pleasant Plains Volleyball) The Cardinals hosted New Berlin last week and earned a 2-0 conference victory. In that win Milkint picked up 11 kills which earned her a career milestone. The seniors is now at 500 career kills and counting. Highlights of the win and the milestone kill HERE.

Grady Mueller (Glenwood Football) The Titans had another comeback win on Friday night as they hosted Sacred Heart Griffin. Glenwood trailed 24-7 at the end of the third and scored four touchdowns in the fourth on their way to a 35-31 win. Mueller rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Two of those touchdowns were go ahead scores. The first came on a 36 yards run with 2:31 left in the game and after SHG retook the lead it was Mueller who put the Titans back in front with 12.4 seconds left on a two yard run. Cami Tinder (Rochester Volleyball) The Rockets picked up a win over fourth ranked Breese Central on Friday night at the O’Fallon Tournament as Tinder earned a career milestone. In the 2-0 victory the junior had 28 assists, three kills, three digs and an ace. Those 28 assists helped Tinder pass the 1,000 career assist mark.

John Venvertloh (Quincy Notre Dame Football) The Raiders traveled to Lincoln on Saturday afternoon and took home a 56-7 victory. In that win it was the junior quarterback who helped lead the way as he completed 9 of 12 pass attempts for 167 yard and six touchdowns. See highlights of the win HERE.

Morgan Woolum (Maroa Forsyth Volleyball) The Trojans earned a 2-0 victory on the road against PORTA last week as Woolum achieved a career milestone. With seven kills and six digs in the victory that put the senior past the 500 career kill mark.
