Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: September 8-13

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Drew Carter (PORTA Football) The Bluejays picked up their first win of the season on Friday night with a 19-6 Sangamo win over New Berlin. All the scoring came in the second quarter of that game and Carter was responsible for two touchdowns. He picked up a receiving touchdown while also running back a kick off for a 89 yard score.

Aliviah Colwell (South County Volleyball) The Vipers picked up a MSM victory over Lutheran High on Tuesday with a 25-20, 25-20 win. Colwell helped lead the way for South County with 13 assists and two aces. Check out the highlights HERE.

Arabelle Cunningham (Athens Volleyball) Cunningham is now in the Athens record books as she became the career leader for assists in a win over Delavan on Thursday. In that victory the junior tallied 20 assists, six digs, two kills, one ace and one block. Check out highlights from the record setting night HERE.

Mikey Groesch (Sacred Heart Griffin Football) The Cyclones traveled to Jacksonville on Friday and brought home a 55-20 victory. Groesch helped lead the way with three touchdowns in the victory. He rushed for 49 yards and two scores while also scoring a receiving touchdown. We have highlights of the CS8 win HERE.

Colten Knoedler (Glenwood Football) The Glenwood senior now holds the all time passing record at Glenwood. Entering Friday’s game against Eisenhower Knoedler needed 33 yards to pass Luke Lehnen’s record. That record was broken on a 39 yard touchdown to Dylan Huff on the first drive of the game. JP Leonard (Rochester Football) It was a four touchdown performance for the Rochester junior in 56-0 win over Lincoln on Friday night. Leonard completed 8 of 9 passes for 171 yards and three scores while also rushing for 47 yards and a touchdown. Check out some highlights HERE.

Ali Londrigan (Glenwood Girls Cross Country) Glenwood traveled to the First to the Finish meet at Detweiller Park on Saturday and picked up the 2A girls team title. Londrigan helped lead the way for the Titans with a third place individual finish in 17:21.70.

Reese Megginson (Auburn Volleyball) The Auburn Trojans picked up two big wins last week with a 2-0 victory over SHG and a victory in three sets over Pawnee. Megginson tallied 16 kills and 10 digs against Pawnee while in the win over SHG she had eight kills, 13 digs and three blocks. Highlights of the victory over Pawnee HERE.

Jackson Nibbe (Riverton Boys Soccer) The Hawks got conference play started last week with a 3-2 victory over Athens. Nibbe scored 55 minutes in for a 2-0 lead before the Warriors tied the game. He then picked up an assist in the 65th minutes which put Riverton back in front for the victory.

Kade Parker (PORTA Boys XC) PORTA hosted their cross country invite on Saturday and Parked earned his fourth victory in five races. The senior won his home invite with a time of 16:20.99.

Oliver Triplett (Quincy Notre Dame Football) The Raiders made the trip to Springfield on Saturday for a Central State Eight matchup with Southeast. QND took home the 63-0 victory as the senior scored three touchdowns. Those three scores a rushing, a receiving, and a punt return touchdown. Highlights HERE.

Morgan Woolum (Maroa Forsyth Volleyball) Maroa Forsyth traveled to the Clinton Classic on Saturday and picked up a big win for the title. Woolum is a senior outside hitter for the Trojans who was named to the all-tournament team. Maroa Forsyth beat St Thomas More in the title game, the Sabers were the team who knocked Maroa out of the postseason last year.

Peyton Zeidler (Rochester Volleyball) The Rockets picked up a tournament victory on Saturday at the Williamsville Invite. Rochester picked up a 2-0 victory over Taylorville in the title game after they went unbeaten in pool play. Zeidler was named to the all-tournament team and you can see highlights of the title game HERE.
