Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: June 2-7

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Lydia Auble (Springfield High Girls Soccer) Springfield High brings home their first trophy in girls soccer on Saturday with a third place finish at state. The Senators had a busy week with a super sectional win in PKs on Tuesday, an overtime state semifinal loss on Friday and the third place finish on Saturday. Auble was solid in goal for Springfield all week which included making stops for a 4-2 win in PKs in the 2-1 super sectional victory. She finished that game with nine saves. Addi Jones (Auburn Softball) A great week at the plate for Jones as the Trojans brought home a fourth place finish from state. In a 2-0 super sectional on Monday it was a two RBI double from Jones in the top of the first that was the difference. She also had a hit and a great defensive play in the state semifinal game and two hits in the third place game. Highlights of the super sectional win HERE.

Tommy Lauterbach (Sacred Heart Griffin Baseball) What a way to win a state championship! It was Lauterbach that came up with the most important hit and RBI of the game as he hit a walk off single to give the Cyclones a 5-4 win over Teutopolis. That was the seniors second hit of the game while he also scored a run in the state semifinal on Friday and had a hit in the super sectional on Monday. Irie Lohrenz (Glenwood Softball) The Titans are heading to the 3A Millikin Super Sectional on Monday following a 5-1 win over Rochester in the sectional final. In the victory it was Lohrenz helping lead the way in the circle. She threw seven innings, allowing just one run and striking out four. She also threw a complete game shutout in the sectional semifinal against Mt Zion allowing just three hits and striking out seven. Ella Plumb (Williamsville Girls Soccer) The Bullets brought home a third place trophy from North Central College on Friday with a 4-0 victory over Timothy Christian. In that victory it was Plumb that scored two of the goals as Williamsville finished the season at 25-6.

Carson Wort (Pawnee Baseball) A third place finish for the Indians at the state finals over the weekend. Pawnee picked up a 9-4 win on Saturday over Lexington to seal third. In that game Wort had two hits and two RBIs with four runs scores. Those two hits included a triple and a home run. He also scored the go ahead run in a 5-4 win over Waltonville in the super sectional on Monday. Highlights of the super sectional victory HERE.
