Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: April 28 – May 3

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Cameron Appenzeller (Glenwood Baseball) The Titans retuned to the field on Friday against Granite City and it was Appenzeller who made his second appearance on the mound this season. The senior threw three inning and struck out all nine batter he faced. Those strikeouts came as he threw 42 pitches including 32 strikes. Highlights of the 6-0 Glenwood win HERE.

Drew Farnsworth (Williamsville Boys Track & Field) The Bullets hosted the Don Williams Invite on Friday night as the boys team won the team title. Farnsworth was involved in four events that night with wins in three. He won the 100 meter (11.29) and 300 hurdles (42.81) individually. He also was a part of the winning 4×200 team and the second place 4×400 team.

Aspen Kitowski (Pleasant Plains Softball) Pleasant Plains picked up a 7-5 win over Williamsville on Thursday to stay tied with two other teams for first in the Sangamo. The Cardinals were led at the plate by Kitowski in the win as she went 2-2 with two walks and two 2-run home runs. You can see the highlights of that victory HERE.

Bailey Leach (Pleasant Plains Girls Soccer) Leach scored two hat tricks last week as she hit a career milestone. The junior scored three goals in a Plains Invite opening round win over Southeast on Monday. She then scored another three goals including her 100th career goal in a win over Athens on Wednesday. The Cardinals would go on to win the Plains Invite with a victory over Williamsville on Thursday. Check out Leach’s milestone moment HERE and highlights of the title win HERE.

Wade Naylor (Lutheran High Baseball) The Crusaders earned a 7-1 MSM win over Pawnee last week and it was Naylor who had a successful day at the plate. He went 1-2 in the win with a walk, two runs score and two runs batted in. That stat line includes a two-run home run. See the highlights HERE.

Izzy Nowack (Williamsville Softball) Williamsville went 3-1 last week on the diamond as Nowack helped lead the way at the plate. In those four games she hit for a .571 average including three home runs, three doubles and eight runs batted in. In a win over Pittsfield on Saturday she went 4-4 with two doubles and two home runs. Olivia Paul (Sacred Heart Griffin Girls Track & Field) A busy night for a new school record holder on Tuesday at the Girls City Track and Field meet. Paul recently broke a 13 year old school record in triple jump. She then broke her own record at the City meet with a jump of 36 feet, 5 inches. She took second in long jump and triple jump. She was also a part of the winning 4×200 team as the Cyclones went on to win the 2025 City title. Highlights of the meet HERE.

Belle Shoufler (Williamsville Girls Track & Field) The Williamsville girls were the team champs on Friday as the Bullets hosted the Don Williams Invite. Shoufler helped earn point for the team by winning the 200 meter (27.07) and the 400 meter (1:00.62). She also was a part of the third place 4×100 team.

Addie Stadsholt (Athens Girls Track & Field) The Athens senior had a busy week as she picked up wins in shot put and discus at two different meets. She also helped the Warriors win a Tomahawk conference title as she scored 20 points on her own. Her winning throws at the conference meet were 36 feet, 9.5 inches in shot put and 131 feet, 5 inches in discus.

Meena Taylor (Auburn Softball) The Trojans picked up three wins last week to move to 17-4 this season. Taylor tallied 36 strikeouts throughout those three games as she pasted the 900 career strikeout mark. She also recently became the school record holder for wins, a record she continues to add onto this season.

Brooklyn Termine (Williamsville Girls Soccer) With a hat trick against Beardstown on Monday at the Plains Invite the Williamsville junior hit a career milestone. Her third goal of the game was also the 100th goal of her high school career. She would continue to add on to that total with two more goals against Auburn on Wednesday. See the milestone goal HERE.

Kenize Wieland (Sacred Heart Griffin Softball) A busy week for the Cyclones as they picked up four wins. In those four victories, Wieland pitched 23 innings, striking out 46 in the process. Two of those wins also came against top 25 teams in 2A. At the plate last week, Wieland hit two home runs.
