Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: February 10-15

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Luke Blackford (Calvary Boys Basketball) The Saints have picked up at least a share of the MSM title this season. On Friday they won a conference matchup against Lincolnwood 59-58 to move to 7-1 in MSM play. Blackford led the way for Calvary in that victory with a game high 33 points.

Reid Bodine (Williamsville Boys Basketball) The Williamsville senior stepped up big late in the game against PORTA on Friday as the Bullets stay unbeaten in the Sangamo. Bodine finished with 15 points in 51-43 victory and scored 13 of those points in the second half. See highlights of the conference win HERE.

Natalie Brownback (Nokomis Girls Basketball) Nokomis won the MSM conference title on Monday thanks to a 45-29 win over South County. She finished the night with 16 points while scoring 10 of those in the third. You can see highlights of the conference title clinching win HERE.

Pierce Bultmann (Rochester Wrestling) The Rochester sophomore is heading to state this week following a sectional championship at the 2A Lincoln sectional. Bultmann won the 106 bracket with a technical fall at 5:42 (17-2) over Cooper Clarke of Glenwood. Lincoln sectional highlights HERE.

Tyler Clarke (Glenwood Wrestling) Clarke brought home a sectional title from the 2A Lincoln sectional over the weekend. The senior won the 120 bracket following a 6-5 decision in the title match against Kelly of Triad. Clarke heads to Champaign this weekend for the state tournament.

Dylan Eimer (Olympia Wrestling) The Spartas have a sectional champ following the 1A Clinton Sectional on Saturday. Eimer picked up a technical fall at 4:31 (18-3) over Carter of Clinton for the 113 bracket championship. Eimer is 40-4 this season and heads to the state tournament this week. Rowann Law (Glenwood Girls Basketball) For the first time in 24 years the Titans are girls basketball Central State Eight champs. The Titans locked up the outright title with a win over Lanphier on Tuesday. They then won a non-conference game 50-42 over Springfield High on Thursday night as Law led the team with 15 points. Casen Lyons (Sacred Heart Griffin Wrestling) The Cyclones are sending a wrestler to state next weekend in Champaign. Lyons was the lone qualifier from our area at the 1A Carterville sectional over the weekend. He finished second after picking up a pin at 2:17 over Watt of Roxana in the semifinal.

Nolan Scott (Pleasant Plains Boys Basketball) The Cardinals picked up a big overtime win over PORTA on Tuesday. Scott made a three late in regulation to send the game to overtime. He then would go on to make three three-pointers in the OT period as the Cardinals won 67-63. Scott finished the game with 19 points. Check out the highlights for that win HERE.

Addison Tarr (Taylorville Girls Basketball) Taylorville picked up a share of the Apollo last week and finished the week with a non-conference win over SHG. In the 41-31 victory it was Tarr who led the way with 11 points including eight points in the fourth quarter for the Tornadoes. You can see highlights of that win HERE.

Jenna Tuxhorn (Glenwood Wrestling) Tuxhorn is heading back to state following a sectional title in Highland over the weekend. She won the title match 2-1 in the ultimate tie breaker. She will head to the state tournament in Bloomington in two weeks. Highlights of the sectional HERE.

Anna Weber (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) Pleasant Plains won the Sangamo title on Thursday with a 43-35 win over PORTA. Weber led the way for the Cardinals in the win with 14 points. Plains heads to the Williamsville regional this week. Highlights of the Sangamo championship matchup HERE.
