Pleasant Plains trailed Riverton by two with under 30 seconds to play. Then Owen Johnson hit a corner three with 15 seconds left to give the Cardinals a 40-39 win over the Hawks. Johnson had 14 points, tied for the game high with Julian Rice for Riverton. The win moves the Cardinals to 3-0 in the Sangamo and drops Riverton to 0-3 in conference.
