Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: January 2-4

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Mia Clark (Lincoln Girls Basketball) The Railers started 2025 with a big win over state ranked Morton on Saturday afternoon. Lincoln shutout the Potters in the first quarter as Clark scored 8 of the Railers 14 points. Clark then helped pick up the win as she went to the line with the game tied at 50 with seven seconds left on the clock. She made both free throws for the 52-50 win as Morton’s final shot attempt fell short. Clark finished with 18 points in the victory. Check out the highlights HERE.

Eli Cox (Rochester Boys Basketball) Rochester made a trip to Lexington on Friday night and brought home a 63-45 victory. The Rockets have won nine of their least ten games including seven straight. Cox led the way in the win over Lexington with 16 points. Highlights thanks to WMBD HERE.

Grady Grisham (Pleasant Plains Boys Basketball) Pleasant Plains welcomed Warrensburg Latham to town on Saturday and picked up a 50-41 win. Grisham finished with 10 points in the win and helped create scoring opportunities for his teammates throughout the game. He sealed the win for the Cardinals with a steal and score while drawing the foul. Highlights of the win HERE.

Shaunassey Hatchett (Lanphier Boys Basketball) Lanphier welcomed Collinsville to town on Saturday afternoon and fought back for a 67-59 win. The Lions trailed 35-25 at halftime but Hatchett helped lead a comeback. He scored 16 of his game high 26 points in the third quarter. He also went 9 for 12 at the line and picked up six rebounds in the win. Check out the highlights HERE.

Tereik Hurd (Sacred Heart Griffin Boys Basketball) The Cyclones started off the new year with a 58-55 comeback win against QND on Friday night. SHG trailed by seven with 4:21 to play and Hurd went on a solo 8-0 run to give the Cyclones the lead. He finished with 18 points in the win as 12 of those coming in the final quarter. Griffin McClure (PORTA Boys Basketball) The Bluejays picked up a 57-44 win over Rushville-Industry on Friday night. McClure, who was named to the Williamsville Holiday Tournament All-Tournament team earlier in the week, scored a team high 16 points in the victory. He went 6 for 6 from the free throw line in the fourth and made two three-pointers in the second quarter.

Jaxson Miller (Riverton Boys Basketball) The Hawks host Pana on Saturday evening and picked up a 64-50 win over the Panthers. Miller scored six of his 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Hawks pulled away for the win in the final frame. See the highlights of the victory HERE.

Owen Paluska (South County Boys Basketball) The Vipers picked up a 48-36 MSM conference win over Nokomis on Friday. Paluska led the way with 15 points including 8 points in the fourth as he went 6 for 8 from the free throw line.

Addison Tarr (Taylorville Girls Basketball) The Tornadoes hosted Springfield High on Friday as they held on for a 63-56 win. Tarr led Taylorville in the victory with 19 points. Nine of those points came on three first half three-pointers. You can see highlights of the win HERE.

Addison Wheatley (Auburn Girls Basketball) The Trojans started off the calendar year with a 45-36 win against South County on Thursday. Wheatley scored 12 of her team high 14 points in the second half to help seal the win.
