Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: December 23-30

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Miles Carroll (Rochester Wrestling) At the Floyd Bee Memorial Holiday Tournament in Lincoln over the weekend it was Carroll who picked up the 120lb championship. Carroll won with a 10-5 decision over Soney of Normal Community and now sits at 18-1 this season.

Carson Doran (Williamsville Boys Basketball) The Bullets won the Williamsville Holiday Tournament! It’s just the second time in 30 years the host have won. Doran scored 11 of his 12 points in the first quarter of an opening round win over Havana. He added 23 points vs Prairie Central and 21 points in semifinal win over PORTA. In the title game Doran made a three pointer to tie the game at the start of the second half. All nine of his points came in the second half including seven of those points in the third. Khordell Gregory (Rochester Boys Basketball) Gregory helped lead Rochester to a come back win in overtime against Sterling for the Taylorville Holiday Tournament title. He scored 31 points in that title win and also scored 17 against Marion and 11 versus Galesburg. Gregory was named to the Taylorville All-Tournament team. Championship highlights HERE.

Carter Hunley (Auburn Boys Basketball) The Auburn Trojans are Waverly Holiday Tournament Champs! The Trojans picked up a win over Routt in the title game where Hunley scored 21 points. The senior also scored 10 points against West Central in the semifinal. Hunley was an all-tournament selection and totaled 33 points in Auburn’s first two games of the tournament. Coby Lane (Maroa Forsyth Boys Basketball) The Trojans finished second at the St Teresa Holiday Tournament. The highlight of the tournament was Lane’s game winning shot that made Sports Center’s Top 10. He also scored 20 points in a win over Judah Christian and 23 versus ALAH. Julian Rice (Riverton Boys Basketball) The Hawks won the St Teresa Holiday Tournament for the second year in a row. Rice was named Tournament MVP as he helped lead his teams to wins over St Teresa, Unity Christian, Heyworth and Maroa Forsyth. Check out the highlights of the championship game HERE.

Alexis Seymour (Jacksonville Wrestling) At the Crimson Ladies Holiday Invite on Monday Seymour picked up the title in the 130lb bracket. The senior is currently 19-4 this season and won the title with a 5-4 decision over Canchoia of Morton.

Jenna Tuxhorn (Glenwood Wrestling) The Glenwood girls brought home their first hardware as a team with a third place finish at the Crimson Ladies Holiday Tournament on Monday. Tuxhorn won the 145lb bracket with a fall at 4:27 over Mwangong of Macomb.

Aubrey Vogel (PORTA Girls Basketball) The Bluejays picked up a second place finish at the Lady Hawk Christmas Classic. Vogel was one of PORTA’s leading scores throughout the tournament including 13 points vs Pana and 14 in the title game. She creates many opportunities for her teammates on offense as well.
