Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: September 23-28

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Samantha Breckenridge (Taylorville Volleyball) The Tornadoes hosted Lincoln on Thursday and picked up the 25-18, 25-14 win. Breckenridge was all over the court for Taylorville with 16 assists, eight digs, four aces and two kills. We have highlights of the win HERE.

Conner Broughton (Rochester Football) The Rockets hosted the Normal U-High Pioneers on Friday night and picked up a 38-30 win. The junior defensive lineman had a great game leading Rochester with two sacks. He finished the night with six tackles. Check out highlights of Rochester’s CS8 win HERE.

Miles Calderon (Glenwood Boys Soccer) A big day for Calderon on Wednesday in Williamsville as the Titans picked up a 4-1 victory over the Bullets. Calderon was a part of all four goals that day scoring once while picking up the assist on the other three goals. Highlights of that performance HERE.

Drew Downen (Glenwood Boys Golf) Downen picked up medalist honors at the CS8 boys golf meet on Wednesday at Lincoln Elks. He shot a 71 to help lead the Titans to a close second place finish. Glenwood came in second with a score of 305 which was three strokes behind the U-High Pioneers in first. Check out some highlights HERE.

Cannon Duke (Sacred Heart Griffin Boys Soccer) The Cyclones hosted Rochester on Tuesday and picked up a 1-0 win. Duke held strong in goal with a shutout for SHG on their way to the win. You can see highlights HERE.

Alaina Ervin (Pleasant Plains Girls Golf) The Pleasant Plains senior earned medalist honors for the fourth straight year at the Sangamo girls golf meet on Wednesday at Edgewood. Ervin took the medalist spot by shooting a 76 and leading the Cardinals to a team victory. We have highlights HERE.

Max Fisher (Williamsville Boys Golf) At the Sangamo boys golf meet on Monday it was Fisher that picked up medalist honors. He was tied with Pleasant Plains’s Anderson Thielen at 76 following 18 holes of play. They matched each other on the first two playoff holes before Fisher picked up the win on the third hole. Mikey Groesch (Sacred Heart Griffin Football) The Cyclones picked up a homecoming victory over Lanphier on Friday with a 63-6 win. Groesch scored twice in the first seven minutes of play while also picking up an interception in the opening quarter. He would finish with 47 rushing yards in the game. Izzy Hassebrock (Sacred Heart Griffin Girls Golf) The CS8 girls golf meet was held at Lincoln Green on Wednesday and it was Hassebrock who led the Cyclones to a team victory. She picked up medalist honors with a 71 while SHG finished with a team total of 115. Highlights HERE.

Lucas Hollinshead (Williamsville Cross Country) The Springfield Invite was held at Lincoln Park on Saturday morning and Hollinshead took the win in the boys varsity race. He finished with a time of 15:39.2. See highlights of the win HERE.

Gage Honn (Athens Football) The Athens Warriors scored 67 points in a win over Auburn on Friday night. Honn had a big night with five touchdowns. He rushed for 154 yards and four TDs while also scoring on defense with a 29 yard pick six. Highlights of the 67-28 victory HERE.

Josie Mack (Sacred Heart Griffin Volleyball) SHG picked up their second City title in as many years on Thursday at Lanphier. The Cyclones swept Springfield High in two for the win and it was Mack late in the second set that helped extend the lead. During an 11-0 run for the Cyclones to make it 24-11, Mack tallied four aces. She would go on to finish with five aces and two kills that night. See highlights of the City title game HERE.

Clark Nelson (New Berlin Football) The Pretzels came off a bye week and picked up a 35-0 win over Pittsfield in week five Sangamo action. Nelson led the way on the offensive side of the ball with 176 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He also picked up seven tackles including two tackles for loss on defense. Taylin Scott (Quincy Notre Dame Football) The Raiders took home a 14-9 win over Springfield High at Memorial Stadium on Friday night. Scott helped led QND to the win on both sides of the ball. He scored in the third to put the Raiders on the board while also picking up eight solo tackles, two tackles for loss and blocked a kick defense. Highlights of the CS8 game HERE.

Brianna Walters (Williamsville Volleyball) The Williamsville Bullets survived a Sangamo battle with Athens on Tuesday for a three set victory. Walters was crucial for Williamsville in the win with 17 digs, three aces, two assists and she passed a 2.67 SR. In a win over Auburn later in the week Walters had six digs, three aces and an assist.
