Glenwood Beats Springfield High To Claim Outright Central State Eight Baseball Crown


 

For the second season in a row, the Glenwood Titans are the outright Central State Eight baseball conference champions. With one game to play, the Titans stayed perfect in conference play with a 6-0 win over Springfield High on Thursday evening at Robin Roberts Stadium. The game was called after a rain delay in the bottom of the seventh inning, with one runner on for Springfield High and nobody out, trailing 7-0. With the game being called, the final score reverts back to the final completed inning, which was the sixth when it was 6-0. Caleb Chamberlain gets the win on the mound for the Titans, Bryce Murphy, Colton Knoedler, Krayton Reincke and Rigley Hickman each drove in a run and Cameron Appenzeller brought two home with a double in the third.
