Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: April 29-May 4

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Cam Appenzeller (Glenwood Baseball) The Glenwood Titans remain the only unbeaten team in the Central State Eight with a 4-0 win over Sacred Heart Griffin on Wednesday. In the victory Appenzeller threw six innings allowing just two hits while striking out eleven. He also went 3-for-4 at the plate in the win. Highlights of the victory that moved the Titans to 7-0 in the CS8 HERE.

Antonette Bartletti (Sacred Heart Griffin Girls Track and Field) The Cyclones won the girls City Title on Tuesday at Ray Ramsey Track. Bartletti picked up two individual wins and was a part of one relay victory that night. She won the 100 meter (12.69) and the 400 meter (1:00.16) and ran on the winning 4×100 team (49.13 seconds). Deandre Brown (Springfield High Track and Field) The Senators won their 15th straight City Title last week. On Tuesday at Ray Ramsey Track Brown picked up four top four finishes for Springfield High. He won the 400 meter (49.78) and was a part of the winning 4×100 (43.62). Brown also took fourth in the 100 meter and third in the 200 meter. See the City Track highlights HERE.

Nash Donnan (PORTA Baseball) The PORTA Bluejays got two Sangamo wins last week and four wins total in a big week. In a 6-2 victory over Williamsville on Thursday, Donnan threw a compete game allowing just one earned run while striking out five.

Connell Doolin (Maroa Forsyth Boys Track and Field) The Maroa Forsyth Trojans got a big victory on Tuesday in Pleasant Plains for the Sangamo title. Doolin had a busy night as he was a part of three victories and competed in four events. He won the 200 meter (23.02) and was a part of the winning 4×100 (43.28) and the 4×200 (1:30.34). Doolin also picked up a fourth place finish in the 100 meter. Highlights of the Sangamo meet HERE.

Kamryn Hoffman (Springfield High Girls Soccer) Springfield High took on Sacred Heart Griffin in a make up Central State Eight game on Saturday morning as the Senators picked up a 2-1 win. Hoffman scored two first half goals which was enough to hold on for the victory. See the highlights HERE.

Reese Larson (Williamsville Softball) The Bullets played four games last week and Larson was one of their top hitters in that span. She went 8-for-15 in those four games with three doubles, one triple, five stolen bases and one home run.  Reese also drove in six and scored seven runs in those games.

Drew Rader (Normal UHigh Baseball) The Pioneers picked up seven wins in six days last week as they made up some previously postponed games. On Thursday in a 15-0 conference victory against MacArthur, Rader threw a perfect game in five innings as he struck out six.

Grace Sabatka (Pleasant Plains Girls Soccer) The Cardinals clinched the outright Sangamo conference title last Monday and gave Coach Bryan his 750th career victory. That win came in a 4-0 win over Athens in which Sabatka scored two goals. You can check out the highlights HERE.

Shelva Sewavi (Springfield High Girls Track and Field) This Springfield Senator had a big week last week helping pick up some points at the City and CS8 track and field meets. The senior started with a personal record and first place finish in discus at the City meet with a throw of 109′ 2. She also took second in shot put at City. In the CS8 girls conference meet she picked up the same finishes with first in discus and second in shot put.

Makhiya Stephen (Maroa Forsyth Girls Track and Field) The Maroa Forsyth girls picked up a Sangamo title on Tuesday at the conference meet in Pleasant Plains. Stephen was a big part of helping to secure that win. She won the 200 meter (26.83) and the 100 hurdles (15.44). Stephen also was a part of the winning 4×200 team (1:51.02) and second place 4×100 team. See the highlights of the Sangamo meet HERE.

Kenzie Weiland (Sacred Heart Griffin Softball) The Cyclones had a busy week with five wins in five days. Weiland spent a lot of time in the circle with 25.2 innings pitched in those five games while striking out 51 batters. She also hit a grand slam in a victory over Lexington on Friday night.

Reese Wolfe (Glenwood Girls Track and Field) The Titans are conference champs for the third straight year. A big night for Wolfe as the picked up a personal record, school record and meet record all in one attempt in pole vault. She clear 13 feet for the record. Wolfe also competed in the 4×100 and 4×200 for Glenwood in the conference meet victory. See that record breaking moment and more from CS8 girls track and field HERE.

Madisen Wurth (Lincoln Softball) The Railers picked up three wins last week including a conference victory over Eisenhower. In the game on Tuesday, she threw a perfect game with four innings pitched and nine strikeouts in the 21-0 victory. She also had two hits and two RBIs as well. That performance followed up a four inning perfect game against Lanphier the week prior.
