Gabbie Branson (PORTA Softball) The Lady Jays got Sangamo play started last week with a win over Riverton. In the shortened game it was Branson who pitched a perfect game in four innings. She struck out 10 in the process while going 1-2 with a home run and two RBIs at the plate.
Taryn Griffith (Glenwood Softball) The Titans continue their success this season with a big conference win over Sacred Heart Griffin last week. Griffith come up with a double and a grand slam in the game to lead the way with five RBI on two hits. See highlights of the win HERE.
Danni Hovey (Maroa Forsyth Softball) The Trojans took on Fisher on Saturday and it was Hovey who led the way at the place and in the circle. She went 2-3 at the plate with a grand slam and a double along with four RBIs. Hovey threw five innings, allowing four hits and no runs while striking out six.
Wyatt Mammen (Lincoln Baseball) The Railers traveled to Rochester last week for a Central State Eight game and picked up a 6-2 win. Mammen was the winning pitcher after 4.2 innings pitched, allowing two runs on four hits. He struck out six in the win as well. You can see highlights of the game HERE.
Taylor Offer (Rochester Girls Soccer) The Rockets traveled to Williamsville and picked up a 2-0 non-conference win on Thursday night. Offer scored a goal in the second half to help secure the win but she also was an important piece on the offensive side of the ball for Rochester throughout the game. Maci Rolf (Sacred Heart Griffin Track and Field) This Cyclone was a part of two wins at the Tom McBride Invite at Southeast on Saturday. Rolf picked up an individual win in the 300 hurdles with a time of 49.12 and was a part of the 4×400 team that took first with a time of 4:10.96
Brayden Saling (Williamsville Baseball) The Bullets got Sangamo play started last week on Tuesday with a 10-1 win over Riverton. Saling got the start on the mound and threw four innings allowing just one run. He also went 3-4 at the plate from the lead off position with two RBIs and one run scored.
Brooklyn Thompson (Rochester Softball) Rochester traveled to Lincoln on Tuesday for a Central State Eight game. Thompson had a big day at the plate in the victory going 4-4 and driving in six while scoring two runs.
Daxton Trueblood (PORTA Track and Field) The Bluejays won the Lee Calhoun Memorial Invite at Western Illinois on Friday. Trueblood picked up a second place finish in the 800 meter with a personal best time of 2:07. He was also the anchor on both the 4×400 and 4×800 teams that picked up first place finishes.
Lily Woodworth (Tri-City Softball) Tri-City picked up a 4-0 win over Pawnee on Thursday with Woodworth in the circle. She pitched seven innings, allowing four hits, no runs, and struck out ten. She also picked up an RBI in the win. Check out the highlights HERE.
Carson Wort (Pawnee Baseball) The Indians picked up a 11-3 win over Tri-City last week and Wort got it done on the mound and at the plate. He went 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored along with a walk. He also threw three scoreless innings striking out four and allowing two hits. See highlights of the Pawnee win HERE.
