The Loggers won big over Erie Community College 13-3 on Friday. TheLoggers got on the board in the first inning after Payton Mugele doubled, scoring two runs. Erie Community College jumped into the lead in the top of the second when Vincent Grazioplene doubled, scoring two runs, and Ronan Glassford drew a walk, scoring one run. Andrew Randazzo singled, which helped the Loggers tie the game at three in the bottom of the second. The Loggers took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Hunter Moser singled, scoring one run, to give the Loggers the leg up, 4-3. The Loggers scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the seventh inning. Randazzo singled, scoring one run, Austin Adcock singled, scoring two runs, Mugele singled, scoring one run, and Moser singled, scoring one run. Will Leman earned the win for Loggers. They gave up two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Ryan Lynch took the loss for Erie Community College. They went five innings, giving up four runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking one. Ryan Oswald stepped on the hill first for the Loggers. They gave up two hits and three runs over four innings striking out three and walking five. Trey Carter tossed two innings of shutout ball for the Loggers in relief. The righty gave up one hit, striking out two and walking none.
The Loggers piled up 15 hits in the game. Adcock, Chase Jetel, Nolan McMasters, Moser, Randazzo, Andrew Hendrickson, and Mugele each collected two hits for the Loggers. Adcock, McMasters, Moser, Randazzo, Hendrickson, and Mugele each drove in two runs for the Loggers. The Loggers ran wild on the base paths, collecting four stolen bases for the game.
The Loggers were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Moser made the most plays with nine. Grazioplene seized on their opportunities, leading Erie Community College with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Austin Deitz led Erie Community College with two hits in four at bats.
