Jordan Bicknell (Olympia Wrestling) Bicknell is taking a state wrestling medal back to Stanford after a 5th place finish in Bloomington this weekend. After falling in the consolation semifinal, she bounced back for a victory in the 5th place match with a 15-11 decision. Luke Blackford (Calvary Boys Basketball) In a rematch of last years regional title game, it was the Calvary Saints who picked up the win over Jacksonville Routt for back to back titles. Blackford made a go ahead three in the fourth and went on to finish with 29 points in the game. He also had nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals in the win. Check out the highlights HERE.

Canon Bruce (Rochester Boys Basketball) The Rockets are regional champs! Rochester traveled to Chatham on Friday to take on the Glenwood Titans and took home a 38-34 victory. Bruce had six points with six minutes remaining and would go on to finish the game with 20. That included a go ahead three pointer with 1:40 left in the game. Cooper Carter (Auburn Boys Basketball) Auburn won the 2A North Mac regional on Friday in Girard. In the 54-41 win over Greenville. Carter had some big baskets late in the game to help the Trojans maintain their lead. He finished with 12 points. Check out some highlights of the win HERE.

Zack Evans (West Central Boys Basketball) The Cougars are regional champs after a 46-32 win over South County in the title game at Liberty. Evans continues to lead the way for West Central scoring a game high 24 points in the win. He also scored a game high 13 points in the semifinal against the hosts. Hope Gilmore (Glenwood Girls Basketball) Glenwood is heading to a super sectional after a 44-43 victory over Quincy Notre Dame on Thursday night for a sectional title. The freshman came up with some big buckets late in the sectional title game. Gilmore scored to pull within two point late. Then in the final minute, she come up with the steal and score to put Glenwood ahead as they would hold for the win. See all that and more from the game HERE.

Becca Heitzig (Lincoln Girls Basketball) The Railers won another sectional title last week with a 61-30 win over Morton in a battle two of the top teams in the state. Heitzig had some big plays in the first quarter to help get Lincoln going. She also had some aggressive rebounds in the victory. Check out highlights of the title game HERE.

Zion Lee (Sacred Heart Griffin Boys Basketball) How About Those Cyclones! Sacred Heart Griffin won another regional final on Friday night with a 53-48 win over Lanphier. Lee led the Cyclones with 14 points in the victory as he continues his run of double digit point totals from the last few weeks. See how SHG got the victory HERE.

John Ben Maduena (Glenwood Wrestling) The Glenwood Titans are bringing a state trophy back to Chatham after a third place finish at the team tournament over the weekend. Maduena picked up a technical fall in their first dual of the weekend. He also had a fall at 1:01 in the semifinal against Montini and another fall at 0:36 in the third place dual against Brother Rice. Highlights of the semifinal HERE.

MJ Murphy (MacArthur Boys Basketball) The Generals are regional champs! MacArthur won the 3A Eisenhower regional on Friday night against Champaign Centennial in a 60-57 overtime game. Murphy came up with multiple big plays in the overtime period to help seal the victory. Check out some of those plays HERE.

Alexis Seymour (Jacksonville Wrestling) Seymour brought home another medal from the state wrestling tournament over the weekend. She picked up a sixth place finish and multiple pins throughout the tournament including one to reach the top six. Check out some day one highlights HERE.

Cooper Schallenberg (Pleasant Plains Boys Basketball) Pleasant Plains traveled to Warsaw on Friday night to take on the hosts West Hancock Titans. The Cardinals brought home a regional tile with a 64-60 victory. Schallenberg led with way with 21 points. Thirteen of those points came in the fourth quarter. He also made three three-pointers in the win. Highlights of the victory HERE.

Garrett Timm (Williamsville Boys Basketball) The Williamsville Bullets won their first regional title since 2018 with a 59-42 victory over Riverton. Timm got things going for Williamsville with three three-pointers in the first as he would go on to finished with five threes for a game high 15 points. Jenna Tuxhorn (Glenwood Wrestling) Tuxhorn picked up a 4th place finish at the girls state wrestling meet in Bloomington over the weekend. In a consolation semifinal against Bicknell from Olympia she picked up a pin at 2:19 to put her in the third place match.
