Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Luke Blackford (Calvary Boys Basketball) A big MSM win for the Saints on Friday night over South County. In the 64-60 victory, Blackford led the way with 28 points. Twelve of those points came in the second half and he finished with five three-pointers.

Trenton Dietrich (Illini Central Boys Basketball) A big night for Dietrich last week as the Cougars picked up a 54-43 win over Havana. Dietrich scored 18 points in the victory and scored his 1,000th point. He also took the 9th place spot on the Cougars all time scoring list.

Kloe Froebe (Lincoln Girls Basketball) Have yourself a week Kloe Froebe! In three games last week Froebe averaged 31 points per game with 25 on Monday against Kenwood, 36 versus Mt Zion on Tuesday and 33 points in a big win on Saturday. The game on Saturday saw #1 in 3A, Lincoln, take on #1 in 2A, Peoria Notre Dame. Froebe finished with a near triple double of 33 points, 12 rebounds and eigtht steals to lead the Railers to a 63-52 comeback victory after being down 15 points in the first half. Charlene Gleason (Williamsville Girls Basketball) The Bullets picked up a second place finish at the Sangamon County Tournament last week. Gleason was named to the all tournament team and scored 20 points in both a quarterfinal win over Sangamon Valley/Tri-City and a semifinal win over Auburn. JaiQuan Holman (Lanphier Boys Basketball) The Lanphier Lions are City Champs! Holman led his team in scoring in all three games for an average of 22 points per game. Katelyn Lehnen (Glenwood Girls Basketball) The Titans hosted Edwardsville on Thursday and picked up a 43-40 victory. It was Lehnen with a late three pointer that gave Glenwood the win.

Kaiden Maurer (Maroa Forsyth Boys Basketball) A career milestone for Maurer this week as he scored his 1,000th point in a win over Pleasant Plains on Friday night. He finished the game with 16 points as the Trojans move to 1-0 in the Sangamo.

Julian Rice (Riverton Boys Basketball) The Hawks started off the Sangamo schedule with a win over Williamsville on Friday night. Rice led the way for the Hawks with 20 points as 13 of those points come in the second half. Check out the highlights of the victory HERE.

Emma Scheffler (Springfield High Girls Basketball) The City title heads back to Springfield High! Scheffler led the way in the 29-22 championship game victory with 10 points. She made some import free throws at the end of the game to seal it and went 6-6 at the charity stripe in the game. Anna Weber (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) The Cardinals won their fifth Sangamon County title in the last six years on Thursday in Riverton. Weber received the Don Hartlaub Award for Tournament MVP. She scored 19 points in a semifinal win over Athens and added 17 points in the title game against Williamsville.
