Cam Appenzeller (Glenwood Boys Basketball) The Titans picked up a big CS8 win over Sacred Heart Griffin on Saturday night with a 48-34 victory. Four Titans scored double digit points that night including Appenzeller with 11 points. He also had a massive dunk late in the game to put an exclamation point on the win. Tyler Clarke (Glenwood Wrestling) The Crimsons picked up another tournament victory over the weekend with a first place finish in the Joe Bee Memorial Tournament at Springfield High. Clarke won the 106lb bracket with a fall at 2:00 over Fisher of Cahokia. The 3-0 record on the day helped move Clarke to 19-2 this season. A couple highlights from Joe Bee HERE.

Kloe Froebe (Lincoln Girls Basketball) As the Railers continue to roll so does Froebe. She had a couple big conference games last week. On Tuesday at Southeast, she outscored the Spartans with 34 points. On Friday at Rochester, Froebe scored her 2,500th point in a 21 point performance. Griffin Fuchs (New Berlin Boys Basketball) The Pretzels picked up another win in the Pretzel Dome last week with a 59-29 victory over Pawnee. Not only did Fuchs have some timely baskets to help build up the lead but he led New Berlin with 16 points in the win. See the highlight HERE.

Aidan Gowin (Lincoln Boys Basketball) The Railers moved to 3-1 in Central State Eight play on Saturday night with a 40-32 road win at Rochester. Gowin led the way for Lincoln in the win scoring 11 points including two 3s. Highlights of the win can be seen HERE.

Karlie Hoke (PORTA Girls Basketball) The PORTA Lady Jays continue with an unbeaten record of 11-0 this season and started Sangamo play with a win over Auburn. In that win, Hoke scored 11 points to help lead the Jays to a 51-38 victory. See the highlights HERE.

Bailey Leach (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) The Cardinals got Sangamo play started on Thursday with a win at home over Olympia. In the 59-38 win it was Leach leading the way. She scored 16 points in the victory and you can see the highlights HERE.

Kaiden Maurer (Maroa Forsyth Boys Basketball) A big twenty four hours for Maurer over the weekend as the Trojans picked up two wins. On Friday, against Warrensburg Latham, Maurer scored 25 in a 57-54 victory. On Saturday, he followed up that performance with 16 points in a 46-37 win over Sullivan.

Jadyn Perry (Auburn Wrestling) Auburn took home a fifth place finish at the girls Joe Bee Memorial Tournament over the weekend. Perry finished first in the 145lb bracket with a fall at 1:26 over Murray of East Peoria. That helped to move her season record to 13-1.

Britni Walters (Williamsville Girls Basketball) The Bullets started Sangamo play with a 33-30 victory over Athens on Thursday night. Through three quarters the Bullets trailed but thanks to some timely baskets and free throws from Walters Williamsville was able to take the lead in the fourth and hold on for the victory. Makenna Yeager (Glenwood Girls Basketball) A big basket at the end of regulation on Friday at SHG had a special meaning for Yeager. In the final 20 seconds of regulation, Yeager hit a three pointer that was her 1,000th career point. That bucket helped to force overtime where the Titans would pick up the 53-50 win. She finished the game with 20 points and also scored eight first half points in a win over Springfield earlier in the week. Highlights of the win over SHG HERE and Springfield HERE.
