Sacred Heart Griffin took a 9-0 lead over undefeated Morris and gave them all they could handle. Morris scored with 66 seconds left and the defense forced a final second field goal that would have sent the game to overtime to advance in the 5A playoffs to the quarterfinals against Joilet Catholic.
Morris beat Sacred Heart Griffin 39-36 on Saturday in a back and forth battle.
