Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Reid Bodine (Williamsville Boys Soccer) The Williamsville Bullets picked up a regional championship last week at North Mac. In the second overtime period it was Bodine’s goal that gave the Bullets the 1-0 victory. You can see the highlights of that regional title game HERE.

Braddock Cates (Williamsville Football) A big night for the Williamsville junior in week nine as the Bullets picked up a win over Auburn. Cates had 26 carries for 330 yards and five touchdowns for an average carry of 12.7 yards. Highlights of that performance HERE.

Mac Gibbs (Sacred Heart Griffin Girls Swimming) The Cyclones are City Champs! On Tuesday at Eisenhower Pool, Sacred Heart Griffin won the girls swim city title. Gibbs won the 200 individual medley (2:29.62) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.67). She was also a part of two winning relays, the 200 medley relay (1:53.95) and the 400 freestyle relay (4:02.11). Lance Ingold (Rochester Football) The Rockets improve to 9-0 in the Central State Eight after a 31-21 victory over Sacred Heart Griffin on Friday night. Ingold come up big on defense in the game with a blocked punt deep in SHG territory, which led to a touchdown. He also had a forced fumble and was part of a late game sack. Eamon Mahoney (Springfield High Boys Soccer) The Senators are playing in a sectional this week after picking up a regional championship on Saturday. Mahoney scored the game winning goal with less then 12 minutes to play for the 2-1 victory over Glenwood. See that goal and the rest of the highlights HERE.

Kaiden Maurer (Maroa Forsyth Football) The Trojans completed an undefeated regular season to claim the Sangamo conference title on Friday night at Walter Boyd Field. Maurer went 11 for 19 and 200 yard with two touchdowns in the air. He also had 15 carries for 109 yard and two touchdowns on the ground. Maurer recovered a fumble late in the fourth which led to the game winning touchdown. Check out the highlights of the 28-21 victory HERE.

Clark Nelson (New Berlin Football) The Pretzels got a big win on Friday night to claim the General Grant’s Saber trophy against Pleasant Plains. After bring tied at seven at halftime, New Berlin had a big second half to pick up the 25-22 victory. Nelson had two touchdowns in the second half to help lead the Pretzels to the win. Rachel Ogunleye (Normal U-High Volleyball) The Pioneers wrapped up a perfect 10-0 conference record to claim the conference championship with a 2-0 win over SHG on Tuesday. Ogunleye had 13 kills to help lead U-High to the victory. Highlights of the win HERE.

Aiden Schmidt (Pleasant Plains Boys Soccer) The Cardinals won a regional at home last week. Schmidt scored with 27 minutes to play for the lone goal of the games as Pleasant Plains went on to win 1-0 over Lincolnwood. Regional championship highlights HERE.

Kylie Sullens (Glenwood Girls Swimming) The Glenwood Titans won a conference championship on Saturday at Eisenhower Pool. Sullens won the 200 individual medley (2:12.16) and the 100 breaststroke (1:08.34). She was also a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:46.79) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:42.22). Elijah Teefey (Pleasant Plains Boys Cross Country) Teefey helped lead the Pleasant Plains boys cross country team to a regional title on Saturday. At the 1A PORTA regional, Teefey finished first with a time of 15:41.4. The Cardinals will head to the 1A Elmwood sectional this weekend.

Brayden Trello (Rochester Boys Soccer) The Rockets are heading home to compete in a sectional this week. In the second minute of the regional championship game, Trello scored and it was all Rochester needed for the 1-0 win over SHG. Check out the highlights of that win HERE.
