Izzy Hassebrock (Sacred Heart Griffin Girls Golf) Hassebrock is a state champ! On Saturday at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur, she shot one under par to help her secure the individual 1A state title with an overall score of 147. Her performance helped lead the Cyclones to a second place finish as a team.

Cal Johnson (Sacred Heart Griffin Boys Golf) The SHG Cyclones are state champs! SHG brought home a first place finish from the 2A boys state meet at Weibring Golf Course in Normal. Johnson was the top finisher for the Cyclones taking second individually with an even par of 142. A couple highlights of Johnson at the state meet right HERE.

Camren Bigard (Athens Football) A big night for Bigard in New Berlin on Friday. He ran for 291 yards on 10 carries for three touchdowns in the Warriors win. See one of those touchdowns HERE.

Henry Buecker (Rochester Football) Buecker added to the Rockets interception total on Friday night with not just one pick six but two. Those two interceptions gave him four this season and Rochester 20 interceptions on the season. You can check out the highlights of Rochester’s 55-0 win over Lincoln HERE.

Colten Haacke (Glenwood Football) The Titans picked up a shutout win over Normal U-High on Friday night at home. On the defensive side of the ball, Haacke, a junior linebacker had two fumble recoveries and a sack. Check out the highlights of the Titan’s win HERE.

Carter Hunley (Auburn Football) A big start to the game for Hunley as the Trojans picked up a win over Pittsfield at home. He scored the first two touchdowns of the game and finished with five catches for 99 yards and two TDs. He also had a fumble recovery on defense to help set up another Auburn touchdown. Kade Lollar (Olympia Football) The Spartans traveled to Pleasant Plains on Friday night and picked up a Sangamo victory. In the win, Lollar had 19 carries for 202 yards and three touchdowns. Some highlights of the Olympia victory HERE.

Kaiden Maurer (Maroa Forsyth Football) Maurer continues to show up with great performances in big games. In the Trojans 25-21 win over Williamsville, Maurer went 21 for 30 in the air for 186 yards and the game winning touchdown. He also rushed for 99 yards and the other two Maroa touchdowns in the game. Bryon McNeil (Springfield High Boys Soccer) Springfield High played spoiler on Thursday and picked up the win over Rochester to stop them from winning the conference outright. In the 3-0 shutout, McNeil was a big piece of the defense and he also scored the first goal of the game. You can see the highlights HERE.

Reece Peters (Maroa Forsyth Boys Cross Country) The Sangamo Conference meet was held on Saturday in Williamsville. It was the Trojans’ Peters who took the individual conference title on the boys side with a time of 15:14.18. Highlights of the meet HERE.

Samantha Shankland (Glenwood Girls Tennis) At the Central State Eight conference meet over the weekend it was Shankland who picked up the singles title. Her performance helped led the Titans to another conference title. We have highlights from Saturday HERE.

Britni Walters (Williamsville Volleyball) The Bullets have control of the Sangamo with a 7-0 record as they look to wrap up the conference title this week. In a big win over PORTA, on Tuesday, Walters had 15 kills and 15 digs to help lead Williamsville to a 25-13, 25-18 win. See the highlights of the victory HERE.

Louisa Wilson (Williamsville Girls Cross Country) Wilson picked up her third conference title over the weekend as the Bullets hosted the Sangamo Conference meet. She also helped lead the team to a conference title. She finished with a time of 18:22.84. Highlights of the meet HERE.
