LLCC vs Kirkwood
The Loggers fell to #6 Kirkwood in a 5-set thriller. The Land ultimately fell to Kirkwood with set scores including 25-21, 21-25, 20-25, 25-22 and 13-15.
Peyton Bregschneider led the team with an impressive 17 kills and 22 digs notching a double double. Hannah Clayton also added a double double with 10 kills and 14 digs. Sophomore setter Kenna Bixby tallied 42 assists and 16 digs, adding another Logger player to the double double list.
Mckenna Blackwell chipped in 13 digs while freshman libero Faith Kientzle had 18 digs. Sienna Hadley had a team high with 5 aces.
LLCC vs Sauk Valley
Lincoln Land took on Sauk Valley for the second face off, of the day. The Loggers took the match in 4 sets with set scores including 25-22, 25-11, 18-25 and 25-15.
Peyton Bregschneider led the team with another outstanding performance with 15 kills and 10 digs notching another double double. Mckenna Blackwell contributed 6 aces while Freshman Lily Little got some time in the front row attacking for the Loggers. Little hit a smooth .500 hitting percentage with 3 kills on 6 attempts with no errors.
Abby Bell also got some play time off the bench, going one for one hitting 1.000 and earning an ace from the service line. Sydney McTaggart in the libero position chipped in 14 digs and an ace as well. Kenna Bixby dished 34 assist to produce an effective offense.
The Loggers look ahead to play SWIC on Tuesday away, followed by a home match and superfan game day Wednesday night in Cass Gym against Lewis and Clark at 6:00 pm.
