Lincoln Land Sweeps Heartland on Sophomore Day Double Header

LLCC vs Heartland Game 1:
Lincoln Land stole the lead late and defeated Heartland Community College on Sunday.  The game was tied at five with the Loggers batting in the bottom of the fifth when Sidney Glick singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Lincoln Land earned the victory despite allowing Heartland to score four runs in the third inning.  Amber Teimeyer, Bella Moser, and Maci Byers each had RBIs in the big inning.

Lincoln Land opened up scoring in the first inning.  Haley Willan singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Maranda File earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for the Loggers. File allowed three hits and one run over four innings, walking zero. Morgan Malone was on the rubber for Heartland. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out two.  Teimeyer threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Bailey Teasley started the game for Lincoln Land . The righty allowed six hits and four runs over three innings, striking out four

Lincoln Land saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game.  Willan and Alivia Hemberger each managed multiple hits for the Loggers.  Willan led the Loggers with three hits in four at bats. Heartland racked up nine hits.  Moser and Grace Wyman all managed multiple hits for the  Hawks.  Heartland didn’t commit a single error in the field. Danielle Bogle had the most chances in the field with four.

LLCC vs Heartland Game 2:
Karley Moore was brilliant on the rubber on Sunday, as Moore threw a no-hitter to lead the Loggers past Heartland 9-1. Lincoln Land  grabbed an early lead. TheLoggers scored on an error and a single by Charlotte Hayes in the first inning. Lincoln Land tallied five runs in the third inning. The Loggers put the pressure on, lead by home runs by Mady Wear and Alivia Hemberger, a single by Molly Hughes, and a double by Addison Cline.

Moore was the winning pitcher for Lincoln Land . Moore allowed zero hits and one run over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Lauren Shively started the game for Heartland. Shively went two innings, allowing four runs on five hits and walking zero.  Morgan Malone threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Loggers smacked two home runs on the day. Hemberger went for the long ball in the third inning. Wear had a four bagger in the third inning.

The Loggers tallied 13 hits on the day.  Wear, Cline, Hughes, and Hemberger each racked up multiple hits for Lincoln Land.  Hemberger, Hughes, Cline, and Wear each collected two hits to lead the team. Amber Teimeyer led Heartland with one run batted in. Teimeyer went 0-for-2 on the day.
