Washington leads the Mid-Illini conference this season after making back to back trips to the 3A state tournament. Springfield High welcomed the Panthers to Robin Roberts for a non conference doubleheader on Friday evening and swept them 4-2, 5-2 with Griffin Burk and Ryne Crum getting the wins on the mound. Cooper Burk and Crum drove in two runs each for the Senators in the first game. Springfield hosts Eisenhower in CS8 action on Tuesday.
