Vincennes Swept by the Loggers on Saturday

LLCC vs Vincennes Game 1:
The Loggers snatched the lead late in the game in a 9-5 victory over Vincennes University on Saturday.  The game was tied at three with Lincoln Land batting in the bottom of the sixth when Trent Koehler doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. The Loggers got on the board in the second inning.  Drew Ezard hit a solo homer. Lincoln Land took the lead for good with eight runs in the sixth inning.  In the sixth, Caleb Royer homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs, Hunter Moser doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Adam Passmore singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Mitch Dye got the start for Loggers. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out three. Logan Medsker started the game for Vincennes University. The pitcher lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out eight.  Jake Stuteville, Dawson Blaylock, and Christian Pinson each contributed in relief for Vincennes.

The Loggers tallied two home runs on the day. Royer went deep in the sixth inning. Ezard put one out in the second inning. Koehler went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Vincennes racked up eight hits on the day.  Trevor Newman, Carter Whitehead, and Kaden Elliott all managed multiple hits.

LLCC vs Vincennes Game 2:
The Loggers had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Vincennes 9-1 in second game of double header. Lincoln Land fired up the offense in the first inning scoring three runs when Austin Adcock doubled. Adam Lindsey took the win for the Loggers. The pitcher surrendered one run on three hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one.  Matt Miscik threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Josh McCormick toed the rubber for Vincennes. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out two.  Jack Robinson and Jace Parnin entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively. Drew Ezard went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Loggers in hits.
