Danville Sweep Loggers in MWAC Match Up

LLCC vs Danville Game 1:
Lincoln Land  had a tough time generating runs on Saturday, dropping their game with Danville Area Community College 8-0. A single by Charlotte Hayes in the fourth inning was a positive for the Loggers. Raven Morrison got the start for Danville. The bulldog went five innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out three and walking one.

Karley Moore was in the circle for Lincoln Land. The righty surrendered eight runs on eight hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Andee Brown, Hayes, and Lydia Bender all had one hit to lead Lincoln Land. Danville had eight hits in the game.  Hayden Smith and Danielle Shuey each had multiple hits for Danville.

LLCC vs Danville Game 2:
Lincoln Land couldn’t keep up with Danville and fell 10-1 on Saturday in game two of double header. The Loggers got things moving in the first inning, when Nyla Cooper singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Danville  pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning.  In the second Bailey Teasley induced Beth Pavy to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Teasley induced Kelsey Martlage to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Danielle Shuey grounded out, scoring one run, Raven Morrison singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, and Ashlynn McTagertt singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Kyleigh Weller was in the pitcher’s circle for Danville. The bulldog went five innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out four and walking zero. Teasley was in the circle for Lincoln Land. The righty surrendered nine runs on seven hits over three innings, striking out three and walking zero.  Maranda File threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Sidney Glick, Gatlyn Etter, Cooper, Mady Wear, and Alivia Hemberger each collected one hit to lead the Loggers. Danville saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game.  Hayden Smith and McTagertt each managed multiple hits for the Jaguars.  Danville  was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Hayden Smith made the most plays with  four.
