Kamryn Hoffman (Springfield High Soccer) The Senators picked up a conference win last week over Jacksonville. In the victory, Hoffman scored two goals and added an assist as Springfield high took the 5-0 win. Check out the highlights HERE.
Grant Tode (Glenwood Track and Field) The Titans competed at the Springfield High Open on Monday and picked up the win. Tode picked up an individual victory in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.08. He also had a top two finish in the 300 hurdles as he took second place in 42.41. Highlights of the meet HERE.
Jack Swaney (Rochester Baseball) Rochester picked up a CS8 win on Tuesday against Southeast. Swaney gave up no hits in the four inning affair while striking out six. He also picked up a hit, two walks and batted in a run. See the highlights of the Rockets’ win HERE.
Shelby Seiler (Auburn Softball) Auburn is off to a good start in the Sangamo with wins over Athens and Pleasant Plains. On Tuesday against Athens, Seiler led the team at the plate going 4-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. The Trojans continue conference play this week. See how Auburn got the win over Athens HERE.
Charlie Severino (Pleasant Plains Baseball) The Cardinals added a couple wins to their record last week including a 5-3 win against SJO at Millikin. In the victory, Severino went 3-4 with two RBIs. Check out the highlights HERE.
Grant Reid (Maroa Forsyth Baseball) Maroa Forsyth enters week two of the Sangamo schedule with a 2-0 record. In a 11-0 win over Athens on Thursday, Reid got it done on the mound for the Trojans. He threw five innings allowing two hits while walking only one and striking out six. He also batted in a run. Highlights of the win HERE.
Bailey Leach (Pleasant Plains Soccer) The Cardinals started Sangamo play with three conference wins in one week. In a victory over Riverton, Leach had three assists and two goals. While on Saturday, in a 3-0 win over Williamsville, Leach had three assists. You can see the highlights of Saturday’s win HERE.
Maggie Fleischli (SHG Track and Field) Sacred Heart Griffin competed in the McBride Invite at Southeast on Saturday and was our the top local team in the standings. They finished sixth while Fleischli was a part of three top three finishes. She won the 800m with a time of 2:29.98. She was also a part of the 4×800 that took second (10:37.35) and the 4×400 that finished third (4:12.80) See of the highlights of the meet HERE.
Mason Kooi (Lutheran High Track and Field) Kooi continues to picks up wins and break records. He won the high jump, triple jump and long jump at a meet in Riverton on Monday then did the same at Williamsville on Tuesday. At Riverton, he broke his own school record in the high jump with a jump of 7 feet. That night he also broke the long jump school record, that has been in place 2000, with a jump of 22′ 0.25″.
Landen Patton (Tri-City Baseball) The Tornadoes got a non-conference win over Auburn last week as Patton led he team at the plate. He went 4-5 with six RBIs and three runs scored in the 11-9 victory. He also threw 1.2 innings, giving up one hit and striking out five.
Mylie Deatherage (Rochester Softball) Rochester has started the season 7-1 including six CS8 victories. In a win over Southeast on Tuesday, Deatherage went 3-3 while batting in five and scoring three runs. The Rockets continue their conference schedule this week with two games against Normal UHigh.
Lydia Rutledge (Olympia Softball) The Spartans started conference play last week with two victories and are currently on a seven game win streak. Against Rochester on Saturday, Rutledge went 2-2 with four RBIs as Olympia took the 11-0 win. Sangamo action continues for the Spartans with two more games this week.
Abby Hendricks (North Mac Softball) The Panthers went 3-0 last week including a 4-2 South Central Conference win over Pana. Hendricks went 8 -12 in the three games including four doubles and two homers. She also drove in ten runs.
