Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Peyton Woods (Springfield High Boys Golf) Woods finished this season with a good showing at state. He tied for fifth at the 2A boys state golf meet shooting a 73 on both days for a total of 146. Woods also led the Senators to a fourth place finish as a team during the tournament. See some of the highlights of day two at the 2A boys golf meet HERE.

Kaiden Maurer (Maroa Forsyth Football) Is there anything Maurer can’t do? In the 24-20 victory over Williamsville on Friday night Maurer threw for 106 yards and threw the game winning touchdown while rushing for 49 yards. He also had an 18 yard reception and come up with an interception in the end zone as time expired to help seal the victory. You can see the highlights from the Trojan victory HERE.

Catalina Easley (Athens Girls Golf) The Warriors had a top ten finisher at the 1A state girls golf meet over the weekend. Easley tied for tenth while shooting a 73 on Friday and a 78 on Saturday.

Carter Downen (Glenwood Boys Soccer) The Titans are in control of the Central State Eight with a 2-1 victory over Sacred Heart Griffin on Tuesday. Downen scored in the victory and is a big piece for the Titans running the midfield. Glenwood is the only undefeated team in the CS8 heading into their game against Springfield High this week. Madixx Morris (Sacred Heart Griffin Football) The Cyclones picked up another big CS8 win on Friday over Glenwood to take control of the conference. In the 49-0 victory Morris had five catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Check out the highlights of the win HERE.

Makenna Cox (Lutheran High Volleyball) The Crusaders picked up a big win over Sacred Herat Griffin on Thursday 25-22, 25-9. Cox finished with 15 kills and 16 digs in the win. She also recorded her 1,000th career kill recently in the Triad Tournament in which Lutheran defeated Springfield High in the championship. See the highlights of the victory over SHG HERE.

Artez Hanson (Springfield High Football) The Senators were dominant against Southeast on Friday night scoring 32 points in the first quarter. Three of those touchdowns came from Hanson on 20, 2 and 34 yard runs. Check out those touchdowns HERE.

Reagan Kennedy (UHigh Girls Golf) The senior wrapped up her senior season with another trip to the state golf meet. She tied for 11th in 2A with a two day score of 148. The was enough to lead the Pioneers to a fifth place team finish.

Riley Holliday (Williamsville Volleyball) Heading into their last two conference games this week the Bullets are the only remaining undefeated team in the Sangamo. Last week they picked up two big wins over PORTA and Maroa Forsyth. Holliday was a huge part of both wins helping to set up the offense for Williamsville. Camden Austin (Athens Football) The Warriors had an impressive first half against New Berlin on Friday as they scored on all seven of their first half possessions. After dealing with an injury early in the season Austin had one of his best games of the year with 126 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Check highlights of the first quarter HERE.

Nischi Korrapati (Springfield High Girls Tennis) The Central State Eight girls tennis meet was held over the weekend and it saw Korrapati pick up the singles title. She won the championship over Glenwood’s Samantha Shankland 6-1, 6-2. The Senators finished third in the team standings. Check out some of the action from the semifinal round HERE.

Zoe Cormier (Rochester Volleyball/Football) The two sport fall athlete had two great games this week. On Tuesday, in volleyball, she helped lead the Rockets to three set victory over UHigh to hand the Pioneers their first conference loss of the year. Cormier finished with seven kills and five blocks. On the football field she went 8 for 8 on PATs for the Rockets in their victory over UHigh. Check out the highlights from the win on the volleyball court HERE.
