Kaden Griffits hit the ball on the button with the bases loaded and the tying run in scoring position in the seventh inning. Jacob Blunck backpedaled and made a diving catch to end the game and help Maroa-Forsyth hold on for a 6-4 win against Williamsville to give the Trojans the 2A regional title. Evan Foster got the win on the mound, Kaiden Maurer the save. Jaxson Grubbs had a big day at the plate for the Trojans, who will play Gillespie on Thursday at 4:30 pm in the Pleasant Plains sectional semifinal.
