Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Maya Davis (Glenwood Wrestling) Making history! Davis finished her senior season on Saturday by winning the 115 pound title at the first girls wrestling tournament in IHSA history. She finished the season with a perfect season and won the title with a 10-3 decision in the championship match. Highlights of the championship HERE.

Brooklyn Murphy (Jacksonville Wrestling) Another history maker this weekend as Murphy finished second at the first ever IHSA girls wrestling tournament on Saturday. She competed in the 110 pound weight class and picked up a win by fall in the semifinal to make it to the title match. Highlights from the title match HERE.

Ethan Willoughby (Maroa Forsyth Boys Basketball) The Trojans are regional champions! Maroa Forsyth hosted the 2A regional and picked up a 62-58 victory over UHigh in overtime. Willoughby tied the game at 52 to force overtime then he scored again early in OT to give the Trojans the lead. Check out the highlights from the title game HERE.

Brylan Phillips (MacArthur Boys Basketball) We finally got the matchup between MacArthur and Southeast we’ve been waiting a couple weeks for but this time for a regional title. The Generals come away with the 62-57 victory. Phillips had a team high 21 points in the victory and you can see the highlights HERE.

Naomi Elliott (U-High Girls Basketball) U-High is heading to a super sectional! They play for a trip to the final four on Monday but last week Elliott had an impressive showing in the sectional semifinal. On 2/22/22 the senior scored a career high 22 points. Brock Burwitz (Auburn Boys Basketball) Auburn won their first regional championship in boys basketball since 2004 in a triple overtime at PORTA on Friday night over the Bluejays. The senior had some big buckets scoring all of his 12 points in the second half including three 3s. See the highlights of the triple overtime game HERE.

Mason Marshall (Glenwood Boys Basketball) The Titans won a regional title on their home floor Friday night with a 64-25 victory over the Jacksonville Crimsons. The freshman had 17 points in the Glenwood win. Check out the highlights HERE.

Zack Hawkinson (Sacred Heart Griffin Boys Basketball) Another regional championship overtime thriller happened at Blez Gym on Friday. The Cyclones overcame an 11 point fourth quarter deficit to force overtime and took their first lead to start the second overtime before picking up the 63-57 win over Lanphier. Hawkinson added another double double to his resume with 22 points and 12 rebounds. See the highlights HERE.

Camden Swigart (U-High Swimming) At the state swimming and diving meet this weekend Swigart brought home a third place and sixth place finish. In the 200 yard individual IM he finished third (1:49.46) while finishing sixth in the 100 yard breaststroke (56.43).

Cole Roberts (PORTA Boys Basketball) The Bluejays battled with Auburn for a regional championship on Friday night and despite a triple overtime loss Roberts put up some crazy numbers. He scored 34 points in the game including 13 points in the second quarter. Check out the highlights HERE.

JaiQuan Holman (Lanphier Boys Basketball) The freshman had an exciting night on Wednesday with a buzzer beater for the win against Mt Zion as the Lions advanced to the regional championship. Not only did he hit the game winner he led Lanphier with 25 points and went 6 for 9 from three point range in the win. See the highlights and buzzer beater HERE.
