Jayce Privia (PORTA Girls Basketball) The Lady Jays got their season started last week at the Clinton Turkey Tournament and finished second. The sophomore racked up buckets all week with 20 points on Monday, 14 points on Tuesday, on Wednesday she scored 26 to send PORTA to the championship.
Madixx Morris (Sacred Heart Griffin Football) The Cyclones are heading to DeKalb! SHG picked up a 49-42 victory over Rochester on Friday night and the standout player of the game was the junior receiver. He had 7 catches for 180 yards and two touchdowns.
Kloe Froebe (Lincoln Girls Basketball) Lincoln picked up a victory over Rochester to start the season last Tuesday. Froebe picked up where she left off in the spring scoring 27 against the Rockets to start her sophomore season.
Hank Beatty (Rochester Football) The senior put his name in the history books on Friday night as he became the all time leading scorer in Central State Eight Football history with 440 points. As for the Rochester record books, the Illinois commit finished 10th in passing with 2,697 yards, 7th in rushing with 2,365 yards, and 3rd in receiving with 2,923 yards.
Marisa Gant (Southeast Girls Basketball) Another sophomore with a great showing this week on the court. The Spartan was named to the Alton Thanksgiving All-Tournament team this weekend after averaging 16 points a game.
Tyaire Lott (Sacred Heart Griffin Football) If anyone still had doubts about how good Lott was he put that to rest on Friday night. In the semifinal victory over Rochester he went 22 for 31 with 437 yards passing and five touchdowns. The Cyclones will take on Joliet Catholic in DeKalb on Friday at 7pm.
Alexis Wade (Mt Pulaski Girls Basketball) Mt Pulaski won the Clinton Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday. Wade hit a game winner in the championship for the 43-41 win over PORTA. She was also named tournament MVP.
