Crimsons Clinch Postseason Berth With Week Nine Thriller Over MacArthur


 

With both teams having four wins, Friday’s matchup with Jacksonville and MacArthur had a playoff feel. The Generals would score on their second possession and Jacksonville would hit a field goal to make the halftime score 7-3 Generals.

The offenses would come alive in the second half as long touchdowns from both teams would see Mac leading 13-9 with 8:55 to play. Phillip Johnson would score from nine yards for the Crimsons to give Jacksonville a 16-13 lead heading into the fourth. A Mac td would have the Generals up 20-16 with 7:53 left to go. Elijah Owens would take over the rest of the way as the Crimsons would hold off the Generals to win 23-20.
