Cayden Sporrer (Glenwood Boys Soccer) The Titans won the Central State Eight Tournament on Saturday in overtime against Springfield High. Sporrer scored the game tying goal as well as the golden goal 21 seconds into overtime for the 2-1 victory. He also had a game winning goal late in the second half against SHG in the semifinals on Thursday.

Zoe Cormier (Rochester Football) With a lot of touchdowns comes a lot of PAT attempts. The sophomore set a school record with 10 made PAT on 10 attempts versus MacArthur on Friday as the Rockets picked up a 70-39 victory.

Jatron Bevly (SHG Football) The Cyclones picked up a 54-0 victory over Lanphier at Memorial Stadium Friday and Bevly continued to roll this season. He has 3 touchdowns on three carries for a total of 68 yards. The Cyclones head back to Memorial Stadium this week to take on the Springfield High Senators.

Timmy Stewart (Auburn Football) The Trojans returned home for a week five matchup with Pittsfield. Senior quarterback Stewart passed for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns in the 38-17 win. Auburn hosts Maroa in the Battle of the Trojans this Friday.

Chloe Byrd (Springfield High Volleyball) Byrd has been a big contributor for the Senators all season and this week she combined for 35 kills. In a lost to Lincoln on Saturday she had a team high 18 kills. She also had the added 8 kills in a win against Southeast and another 9 kills and 3 aces in a victory over Lutheran High.

Tori Taylor (Rochester Volleyball) The Rockets wrapped up their “regular” season undefeated and claimed the number one seed in the CS8 Tournament last week. Expect to see more of her this week in the conference tournament and next season.
