The Mount Pulaski Toppers gave a valiant effort but struggled against one of the best defenses in Class 1A as Roanoke-Benson ended the Toppers season, 46-27 in the 1A Danville Schlarman Sectional Semis. 6’8 junior Luke Braman had 14 points for the Rockets but his presence was even a bigger factor on defense, anchoring a Rocket D that held the Toppers to 10 first half points. Junior James Early lead all scorers with 16 for the Rockets that including 4 big 3’s. Mount Pulaski’s season comes to an end vs the #2 ranked team in Class 1A, as the Toppers complete the 2019-20 season with a 22-11 record.
